IOT Developmental Thread

As it turns out, Mysore actually belongs to Macedonia.

I thought that was clear already :p

I don't care how we start as long as no one invades me right off the bat. *nervously glances at Arabia*

Starting rep: My original plan was to normalize everyone's scores, mainly so the particularly nuke-happy won't face rebellions from the get-go; given it's been twenty years, would players prefer a total reset?
Reset
Diplomacy: We can carry over some agreements from last game, but these are few and far between: GUN is dead, overseas trades are scrapped, and any treaty featuring more than two signatories is off the table. Or for clarity's sake, should we just renegotiate on the first turn?
Renegotiate
Territorial atrophy: I mentioned this earlier. Given the devastation of some of the particularly expansive nations, are players open to recession, specifically Petrograd in the Far East and the Marians and Germany in Europe? These are heavily contaminated areas and will fall prey to the Abhorrents early in the game, so holding onto them is difficult anyway.
Yes

Borders: Aesthetic more than anything else. How would people like if I recoloured the territorial dividing lines to match our nations as of the start of the game? Gives a unique flavour and may help discourage templating.
Yes

Also, since Omega has his heart set on the KNE and I suspect e350tb may not have time to rejoin even if he is following, I'm willing to default the British core in England and Holland; assume the administration down under lost control of the government in the past decades. Give me a colour (I know there aren't many left :p) and I can list it alongside the vets when the thread goes up.
Special offer.

Canada is awesome, except for that old lady on the $20 bill.

Reading through parts of the IOT4 thread, I' faced with an unfortunate truth. I thought that I slowly lost territory in a brave fight to the death. Turns out it all rebelled after I nuked a bunch of people, including the UN.

Oh. Same color as the NEA flag, as always.

IT LIVEZ!

I regret to say I DUN GOOF'D and posted the main thread in "All Other Games". Enjoy your brief spike in post count. :p

Quick question to RIOT players

I'm tentatively working on RIOT II which starts two years before the Second Revolution. The following changes are

1.) WMD Stockpiles removed (alternate history of an alternate history)
2.) The LP/XP system is replaced with the MP (Military Point)/EP (economic point) system which is based on IOTIV like the LP/XP as in RIOT, but it isn't based on provinces anymore.
3.) I'm using the non-modified version of the RIOT map. The one with a zillion provinces. Reasoning behind this is because the game is going to focus less on just game mechanics and more about roleplaying.

The question is is who wants to start a new nation and who wants to play as their old nation? For players who want to start off as their old nation, is there any territory you wouldn't mind seeing shaved off? It won't affect your starting power much (as nations like the USSR and Khitan will be more powerful than new nations still) and it opens up the map a bit given that three quarters of it have been claimed (namely Europe, my God, Yugoslavia).

I'd return as The Holy Land (Israel) assuming this is still possible (I don't remember how it ended TBH) I'm not giving up any land, Nile to Euphrates FTW. If you have to take land off of everyone to make the map work, fine, but I'll still reconquer it;)

Can new players join? If so, I would to.

The Holy Land has been gone for at least six years now.

Yes. Though, at the moment, everything but Oceania and Africa are filled (gotta cut out a few of the NPCs)

If possible I'll like to return as my old nation, if not than maybe a new one.

The United States of Central America Dos Tacos is still there.

One of the things I want to do with this IOT is to make it so that players can populate their nation and their military with whoever and whatever they want AND let players create their own "special weapons" which can range from cruise missiles to Ion Cannons to Bioweapons to even a magic fireball/whatever. In that case though, I'm going to balance it out by having players PM me their idea and I'll tell them how much the weapon would cost.

Continuing to spite good judgment, I'll continue playing as the NOK.

Die in a fire.

Die in a fire.

Speaking of which, since the Second Revolution didn't happen, you pretty much have your entire kingdom still.

I have plenty of RPing left for the Khitan and I have the time now so I'd join this one. I'd prefer losing Korea (not that I had it for long), the Arabian peninsula, Khitan Africa, and most of Central Asia.
