Dear Sir Farquharson
Here is the Diplomatic update you requested, it will be publicly announced to give the other nations a better understaning of our motives.
First on the Agenda, Africa:
Africa, the Mysterious continent. So far it has been our only link to our grat history and tradition of colonialism. We have reviewed and re-reviewed our standing on this continent. While we do have interests towards it and wish to regain our old colonial possessions we would like to establish that we will not return as conquerors. Thus we have decided to guarantee the independence of all native African nations (Egypt and The Swahili nations). This act will hopefully prevent a re-insurgency of African imperialism. We should also try to foster better relationships with said nations in order to show our good intent. We are not yet clear if any of the other rising nations have an interest in Africa although it is suspected that Australia has an interest in the Arabian Peninsula. This situation should be monitored.
Secondly: France, Germany, Scandinavia and the Republic of New England:
It goes without saying that there is tension in Europe. France recently emerged out of a brutal period of Anarchy has quickly re-established itself as a major democratic world power. It has also consolidated its position in France and soon became an Ally with our revolutionary cause. However trouble was still brewing in Germany. The floods had devastated the north coast destroying prosperous cities such as Hamburg, Rensburg and Kiel. This has forced the people to turn to extreme measures and has thus seen a reformation of the Nazi regime. As an old enemy of the Second Republic we do not trust this part and we will not be subdued by them again (counter measures have been instated). The long rivalry between France and Germany has escalated to each of the two nations publicly denouncing each other as Cowards. Germany then allied with its ideologically similar brother of (What was at that time) Norway. France (Allied with us) Then allied with The Republic of New England. This alliance system is threatening to destroy us and should be observed closely. It is vital for the survival of our nation and its allies that this does not escalate into full blown conflict.
Part 3: Hugo, Scotland and Nationalist Spain:
Hugo, ahh Hugo. Sir Farquharson quickly made friends with Hugo upon there meeting and there has been a great increase in the mutual cooperation of our nations. Even the formation of an alliance. This personal friendship and similarity of Ideas has been crucial in the construction of our relationship with this nation. Similarly Sir Farquharson feels an emotional bond with his homeland in the CSU and is always willing to explore an better working relationship with them although as of yet no formal agreements have been made. Also as far as we know our Nationalist enemies have not made any allies and, although continue to be a thorn in our side, they are weakening and will soon break.
Next: Nepal and the New Continent:
As Far as we see it the biggest threat to us other that Germany and their allies is The Kingdom of Nepal. This nation is on track for completing there Colonisation efforts and has shown no signs of honouring the agreements for the division of the New continent. We are also worried that they may be able to quickly mobilise themselves and would be willing to if the need arose. We have thus decided to recall our claims of the new continent and will not have any interests in future colonisation unless the situation changes.
Sorry sir that the report is, as of yet, incomplete but we were quite busy with the reorganisation of the department. All progress on that is complete and thus we will be able to conduct "Diplomatic" missions to other countries. Including a procedure of Counter espionage.
Be Seeing You
