First Powered flight occurs in Texas
Using the studies of Louis Pierre Mouillard (1834–1837) on the flight of birds, Clément Ader constructed his first flying machine in 1886, the Éole. It was a bat-like design run by a lightweight steam engine of his own invention (4 cylinders developing 20 horsepower (15 kW). The weight was no more than 4 g/W (7 pounds per horsepower), and it drove a four-blade propeller. The wings, with a span of 14 metres, were equipped with a system of warping and all together weighed 300 kg (650 pounds). On 9 October 1890, Ader attempted a flight of the Éole. The aircraft evidently took off, reached a height of 20 cm, and flew uncontrolled approximately 50m

Corrugated Cardboard box first made in Librulstan
The Scottish-born Robert Gair invented the pre-cut paperboard box in 1890 – flat pieces manufactured in bulk that folded into boxes. Gair's invention came about as a result of an accident: he was a Brooklyn printer and paper-bag maker during the 1870s, and one day, while he was printing an order of seed bags, a metal ruler normally used to crease bags shifted in position and cut them. Gair discovered that by cutting and creasing in one operation he could make prefabricated paperboard boxes

Diesel Engine invented in France
A diesel engine (also known as a compression-ignition engine and sometimes capitalized as Diesel engine) is an internal combustion engine that uses the heat of compression to initiate ignition to burn the fuel, which is injected into the combustion chamber. This is in contrast to spark-ignition engines such as a petrol engine (gasoline engine) or gas engine (using a gaseous fuel as opposed to gasoline), which uses a spark plug to ignite an air-fuel mixture. The engine was developed by Rudolf Diesel in 1893.
Option 1: Exploit the technology - gain 5 factories in Benelux (available this turn)
Option 2: Continue to invest researching further - gain 20 science IC
Option 3: Spread the knowledge to the wider world - gain 100 cultural points.
Kinetoscope invented in Russia
The Kinetoscope is an early motion picture exhibition device. Though not a movie projector—it was designed for films to be viewed individually through the window of a cabinet housing its components—the Kinetoscope introduced the basic approach that would become the standard for all cinematic projection: it creates the illusion of movement by conveying a strip of perforated film bearing sequential images over a light source with a high-speed shutter.
Option 1: Improve urban lives - gain 1-2 cities in Siberia
Option 2: Continue to invest researching further - gain 20 science IC
Option 3: Spread the knowledge to the wider world - gain 100 cultural points.
