Actually it should be more since you can't use the keypad for movement anymore (6 directions).
It has been confirmed by...Greg i think, that you in 5 still can use the keyboard to move your units.
And yes, from my Gamescom experience i can say, you can do nearly everything with only the mouse.
you definitely would get crushed.Almost every game out there is completely "mouseable." You could, if you wanted to, play Starcraft 2 entirely with the mouse--but since using the mouse is typically much slower than using the keyboard, you'd get crushed badly. I suppose FPS games require you to use WASD to move . . . but that's about it.
Anyways, Civilization IV had a bunch of keyboard shortcuts, but they're unnecessary since it's a turn based game and you can take as long as you want to mouse over and click things, so yes, you can play entirely with the mouse. I'd imagine the same will be true with Civ V.
I can't think of a game where you don't use the mouse, but then again, I don't have too much experience...

Yes this forum is very active, due to civ 5.
Many (most?) games are completly "mousable", no keyboarding requried.
If you don't know how to type, how are posting?
Also, welcome to forums Advance!

And its not known how well civ 5 will work out, it looks fine, but who knows?
Ah, you "peck" at the keys
cause i just bought civ 4 because i read that civ 4 can be played with mouse only since its turn based. (im not a very good typer) im not gonna open my civ 4dvd till its confirmed that at least civ 4 will be mouseable.
