Is the city list broken or just bad?

If the best city depends on what you want to build, how can the advisor screen "telepathically" know what it is you want to build? Therefore it is only logical that it shows you the absolutely modified base, rather than the dependantly modified base.

As the PP said, if they want to build a military unit, then if they have a city that double speeds a military unit, but ONLY military units, then they should KNOW that they put that wonder in a particular city (maybe you need to add tags to your city names or something if you cant remember?)

BTW, if you click on a city on the advisor screen, press C (to centre the map) then the selected city is chosen when you exit the advisor.

Clicking on a city on the advisor screen opens the mini city view at the bottom of the screen IIRC.

Hey mate-

Can you please mod your mod and add a base and abs prd and comm column in it? I would do it myself but I dont want to spend hours figuring out stuff that would take you far less time. Great mod though. :goodjob:

Well that takes care of my confusion. Yes, I also use the domestic advisor mod, though not homegrown's version, the one posted later in the thread.

I'm pretty sure I follow what everyone has said so far and it makes sense to me, but I've thought of a scenario where the Hammer Leader in the F1 screen wouldn't necessarily make for the fastest producer of a wonder... which is when a wonder gets double speed for a resource and all of your cities aren't connected. This isn't likely to happen in late game, but in the early game, when perhaps your second city is connected to stone and your first city isn't, even though your first city may have better overall production, the second city may be faster for the wonder.

Once again, I agree with Mazruk that the DomAdv can't telepathically know what you want to build, but in an ideal world, I'd love to see an option to choose a unit/building to build in the Dom Adv and have it calculate how long it would talke to build in the each city. An extra bonus would be an indication when I select a building I'd want to make if the building were already in that city. Even better would be something that would tell me what the final production/happiness/science/culture/commerce/healthiness/etc of what the city would be after the building were built.

Granted I know it would be an incredible feat to try to create a good interface for all of this info, but eh.. thoughts just kept coming to my head...
