Is there anyway to disable all civs starting on the "old world" on the Terra map...

I think the terra map script is the best for what I like, however all the civs start on the "old world" and there are uncolonized continents. I would rather have the civs start anywhere on the map, is there a way to enable this?

Also, is there anyway to play a user-created map script without disabling achievements?

Thanks

I believe I saw a random earth start map in the mods section (custom maps) on the steam workshops. You could give that a shot.

I have several decent maps scripts but I don't use them often as they disable achievements.

I am sure there will be a way to disable the start bias as I have seen a similar case where a user altered some code in the map script for the continents/pangaea plus scripts to disable city-states from only spawning on the island chains. I imagine it would be a similar process for major civs on Terra.

I've never played Terra so forgive me if I'm wrong here, but woulnd't on continents map be exactly what you're looking for? Or does something about Terra make it different besides the start locations

Continents and Terra a similar but not identical, there are a few subtleties in the Terra map script which I prefer (i.e. more varied sizes of landmasses and groups of islands). However this is in my own experience and I may be mistaken.

There is an old mod called Terra Incognita, which is somewhat similar to normal terra maps, and it has a setting to allow civs to start anywhere. But that, being a mod, would disable achievements I believe.

Unless you copy the script (not the .civ5mod) into the maps directory. Unless that's been patched out since I last ran that script.
