How about these ones? Do they look real or computer generated? Which of these (if any) do you think is real and which (if any) do you think is computer generated?

It may just be me, but IMO the biggest problem (besides the obvious pixellation in the hair near the ear) is that the subject has no distinguishible race. I have never seen a human with that combination of features. I immediately thought it had to be made by Square because their trademark seems to be character models that simultaneously look Japanese and European as shown here and in FF VII - X.

What do you think of the three new pictures I put up above?

Some real people do look simultanously Japanese and European because of mixed race marriage. It's a good combination. Kristin Kreuk is half Chinese and half white and she plays a white girl on Smallville and Snow WHITE in the Snow White movie and is rumored to be playing as an ASIAN woman in an upcoming movie. This is her in Snow WHITE.

How do the pictures above compare with this picture? :)

I'd say all of 2, 3 and 4 are GCI. 2 and 4 definitely are and in 3 the texture of the jacket doesn't look right.

Interesting :)

Eyes... too big.

Throw in some real ones too add some confusion man!

Yeah, 2, 3, 4, all obviously fakes. Unblemished skin and the hair looks... not quite earthly, TBH.

You should really stop taking that stuff...
What the stuff that stops me from debating over what is quite obviously a CG image? *smokes another toot* Hell no!

All three are OBVIOUSLY computer-generated, again (though of an outstanding quality).

And, again, they are still f... HOT. Aeris is da bomb :D

I did some editing to the first picture in the front page.
A is edited version to get portrait feel.
B is edited version to get it more real looking

Didn't really succeed in either one of those but thought post them here if somebody would like to check them out.
My fun is someone else's misery, and vice versa.

It's much more easier to create convincing looking human models by combining 3d and 2d technology than just use one of them.

I dedicate this message to my old art teacher who died into cancer few years back.
When I saw this thread's question how real something looked like I instantly remember him

:(
Still remembering you,
rest in peace,
not your best and certainly not your worst student.

Another problem that I noticed is that the CGI pictures, when compared to the picture of Kristin Kreuk, don't show any texture on the skin at all. You can tell that Kristin has pores on her skin because it has slight changes in lighting all over, and she even has a few very tiny freckles. Furthermore, while she has a very pretty face, it is not perfect in any sense - she has very slight jowls and one cheekbone protrudes just slightly more than the other. The CGI images have none of those minute details, the tiny imperfections that make the image of Kristin Kreuk look human.

Also, the eyes on all of the CGI images look to be reflecting a bit too much light.
