Isaac and the Wonders? What to do with our Sci Leader

It's not just that the Barracks magically appear, but they also cost nothing to support. This saves us 1gpt for every Barracks we would build.

That's basically the reason that Sun Tzu's is basically my favorite wonder in the game. Saves me so much money. Personally, I think we should see if we can get both DaVinci's Workshop and Sun Tzu's, but when we have to use the SGL, I think it should be used on Sun Tzu's.

If we do build Sun Tzu's, don't forget to sell barracks the turn before for some gold!
And no need to beat your head if we forget; we can do so for the rest of the game. It'll say sell, you'll get the gold, and the free barracks will remain. Works for granary/Pyramids and research labs/Internet too. :)

I agree with the above. Sun Tzu is not city dependent like the Hanging Gardens, so when the opportunity for building it arises, we can make a judgement about it then. After all, we could build it in Delhi as well (that city won't culture flip).

I beleive the real issue at hand is the tech path that we should take. What tech seems to be the one that we would least like for the Dutch to have? And that is Feudalism. To get Sun Szu's we would need to research a tech that would be very useful for the Dutch and very bad for us. If we were to go that path, what plans have we got for stopping the Dutch from using their source of Iron? From a technology POV, the best option would be Sistine's Chapel, which is my choice. Does it seem to me that we have lost track of our ultimate goal of a culture win, with all this warmongering?

There almost no way we will get to Feudalism before the Dutch. The AIs always head for Feudalism, Eng., then Mono, then Chivalry ... it's always the same. The Dutch are going to go after Feud first because: they get their UU, they get the ability to build a wonder, they get an attacker, they get a defender. What do they get from Engineering? Crossing rivers at no cost and planting forest. They'll choose the ones with greater benefit; Feudalism.

My prediction is that the Dutch will NEVER get to Feudalism. If they do it will take them 50 turns, and why they wouldn't be dead by then escapes me completely.

All this warmongering is precisely because we are focussed on a cultural victory. We'll never achieve the required culture with the number of cities we have now. For more cities we need more territory, and that means WAR.
