Italian ww2 Infantry Reskin

Just a speedy reskin of the standard infantry. I beginned from the skin found in Regiment and Ethnic Diversity mod. So I think the first creator could be White Rabbit. I've done this work just to match the italian units durig ww2, and I use to accompany the tank as R.E.D. does. It Uses infanty animations.

I've done and uploaded a 2nd version with the proper rifle using the seZereth's one:

Hey, that looks like my Italian General in that pic! ;)
 
Now we just need a proper Carro Armato P 26/40 tank... poor Italy has no big tanks in Civ4.
 
I'm reshaping the existing m13-40 to achieve the P26... What do You think, could it seem?

I think you might still need to reshape the back of the turret a little bit... seems your sticks out at the top when it should stick out at the bottom.

I have to study how to divide faces or add vertices :) :crazyeye: And as usually I work with the meshes in 3ds and after i import 3ds meshes in nifskope... i have to study better to don't repeat the errors made with the ariete :crazyeye:
 
Looking better Kruger... now don't forget the side-skirt that covers-over the top track area (including covering the return rollers)... it's what helps give the P40 it's distinctive look.

Before making the skirt i'd like that You test what You see with it. I'm unble to have a nif file that doesn't crash, so i made it by importing in nifskope the 3ds meshes again. Again I divided body, turret, cannon (there's a little error in cannon when it fires). In 3ds i've assigned material but i don't know if in the mesh it exists. and while the original texture is green i see it brown in the new tank.... :confused: You have to use the Fiat.nif, the p26 crashes but look it with nifskope I'd like that You test before finishing and releasing

Also the brown tank works (the cannon error could be solved when cutting only the cannon barrel), and the base texture of your tank is brown ;), but in the original nif the ambient colour was green. Perhaps you could also clean up the UV map (eg: the back of the turret) when making the skirts

thanks! :) You mean to set well the uv map with the texture, isn't it?

what do You think about these skirts?(the turret gives big trouble... depending with Your answer i will post here a testing file, cause now is going strange: 1) i cannot see it in niefviewer anymore, 2) I have to put the link for the texture in his folder and not only with the name of dds)

And together I will post the new Italian Lince (i've reshaped the humvee) to test It :) (I wonder why the unit i've used to reshape, doesn't show the marine in the game :confused:)
