Well, I qualified for more than one. I wouldn't say I've moved on from Civ3, just interested in EU2, plus taking some time to play MoO3. Once bitten by the Civ series, its hard to stay away for long. I also moved my household which kept me from the computer a few days.

To be honest, I'm waiting to see if we can iron a problem out of GOTM20, and I'm too lazy to switch the resources around and play another game... and I'm struggling to find enough employment to survive on. Once I'm sorted, though, I'll be buying EU2 and diving my spare time thusly: Civ3, EU2, and my love for fine food and drink. God it's great being single 
GOTM20 takes up all my playing time, plus transcribing my notes and reading all the threads around here to try to pick up playing tips. Oh, and tracking all the F^4 posts for clues about the other strange creatures that inhabit this parallel universe.
Also the weather here in England right now is unusually warm and sunny for the time of year, so there are things to do in that big room with the blue ceiling and no computers.
In another thread I've suggested that we start an SG for the rest of us, but we've only got three contenders so far, so the 100+ who have admitted to being part of this Mac community must be off somewhere else.

I'm busily playing Diablo 2x and watching 1.10 patch news....I haven't got back into Civ since I quit in disgust over the patch situation other than to download the patch(es) and test them. I'm also awaiting Frozen Throne.

I am trying to play GOTM20 now.
Unfortunately, I do not have enough time to do. My job makes me too busy to enjoy Civ3. Also, I have to change my job place at the end of the month and I need some time to spend for my family.
I really wish I had 26 hours in a day. Then I can play Civ3, not only GOTM but also regular and editor stuff.
Anyway, I am trying to make QSC by the deadline.
So, just keep civing!

Actually, I'm playing Civ III, Moo3 and EU II about equally these days. Life is good.

Haven't Civved in a long, long while. Got caught up in Moo3 for a stint (parts are addictive, parts are hopeless drivel). Mostly been working (a lot) and writing (even more) and spending moments of QT with the SO. Browsed the bookmarks at work and... *oh, yeah...* Thought I'd drop by.

About all I have time for these days is the GOTM. Fortunately, (or unfortunately) I have already lost this months and had some time this weekend to play a few other games. Now during the week there is jsut no such thing as free time. I can check the forums a bit but other than that I really dont have time to play anything.

i was, for a while, hooked on Civ III and played it night and day. But, i have become rather frustrated with its nonsensical nature... limited diplomatic options, constant wars for no apparant reason other than so many turns have seemingly gone by. The superscilious nature of the game itself met with the realization that it just is *not* going to get any better, as even the updates to the game itself breaks the editor, and the expanision packs that could potentially make it a richer gaming experience are just not coming to the Mac, has left me too frustrated to even bother anymore. i have gone on to more productive things on my Mac. i keep checking this site for news on the game and potential improvements, but leave disheartened. The game has continued to prove not only to have been a waste of money, but also, and even worse, it has been a tremendous waste of time.

I have trying the GOTM of course, but having finished #20 a bit early, I decided to try an "Always War" varient on the Deity level. In other words, you declare war on all civs the first time you meet them and never make peace (thus ending up at war with the entire world).

I have been about 50/50 between 64 and GameCube vs. mac in time spent.

I was spending most of this month playing GOTM20, but I just finished that so I was bored enough to reinstall Diablo II on my Dual 1Ghz at home. Getting ready to play Dungeon Master and MoO3 as well. I get to play at work so most of my home time is spent doing crap around the house and playing softball.

Game Aesthetics: I have to admit that I have been enjoying HALO on the Xbox, but it can become a dizzying experience, playing with a large screen and surround sound -- particularly driving that Warthog.
I also had one of those "in the zone" experiences playing Age of Conquerors in a Sea of Japan setting. The endgame where my various units supported the trebuchets in the demolition of enemy buildings was very satisfying -- AoE/AoC provides the opportunity for using tactical formations that is missing in Grand Strategy like Civ3. However, I do get a lot of enjoyment in Civ3 with multi-figure units converging on enemy cities. I guess I'm just hooked on the look of the thing.

My son's Gamecube for me, and there are games I can't play because I get so dizzy and sick. I feel like a wimp when he needs help, and I reply, "Son, I'm sorry, but that game makes me ill."
djb (triari?) -- very true, I notice that I have to keep a light on in the room. However, I am waiting for some of the more sedate games to come out: SW: Knights of the Old Republic, Fable and Risk will do for this year.
My iMac is now more of a treat when it comes to games, because Civ3 and others take a commitment of time. I tend to use the Xbox like a TV channel, for short-term entertainment. All of that will change if Firaxis/Macsoft ever produce Alpha Centaui 2. Civ3 indulges my History Channel; SMAC/X enthuses my Futurology Channel.

The triari were the older, veteran soldiers of the Roman army. I couldn't live up to "deity" as my status, figured triari said it better.
