The historian in me speaking here:

It occurs to me that, for us addictive OT/WH posters, these threads and these forums constitute a diary of sorts, and it's an interesting record.

Is there some easy way to program the beast to allow me to not just search all of my posts (which is disabled, is it not?), but also to dump them all into one place or file?

Just curious; I'd be intrigued to see the flow of it.

there is a download thread clicky just to the bottom right of the quick reply box. Other then that you are going to have to cut and paste your junk into a text document.

Re: my junk, yeah, downloading 2,000 threads one at a time is not my idea of sanity, hence my question. I was more wondering if there was some way to first do the name search (?) and then click to say, dump text somewhere.

Does it matter that it's a text file? Are you going to print it out or something? I guess if you have dial up service, you'd want to have it available off-line. If not, why not just search for all your posts (if it's ever re-enabled), then bookmark the page and view it whenever you want?

But as to answer your question: I'd be extremely surprised if the answer's yes.

Edit: Wait a sec, what about this:

You'd have to wait till the search feature is re-enabled, but when it is, right-click the "search" button above one of your posts, and select "Save Target as..." Then select the location on your computer that you'd like to save it in. I wonder if that'd do what you want... Edit: Well, I guess it saves it as an html file, not a text one, so it's the same as viewing it from the web. But if you save it, can you view it off-line?

There is a way, via MySQL database query. But I can't help you unfortunately because I am not very good with MySQL.

Maybe there is a hack/addon that does that...
