There must of been a shipping problem or something.
 
I've also seen CIV3 Gold.

They tried to tell me that it was conquest.

Not impressed with my local Gamespot retailer right now.

yeah, that must be it... that Star Trek transporter technology that is used to distribute (ship/deliver/inventory/stock shelves) games across the country within a couple hours is often pretty "problematic"...
 
i checked my local wal mart and best buy. best buy said thursady, wal mart tried to tell me gold edition was conquests. im phenomenally frustrated right now. after months of wating.... its just not fair. www.civ3.com should have said nov.4, but may not be in stores until nov.5.
 
I have to buy my copy at Bestbuy because I have a gift certificate, so I guess I have to wait some time this Thursday.
 
the madison WI best buy said maybe Thursday but he was guessing because his computer didnt say a thing about it. Wal-mart said a week or two. I was too broken hearted to try any more stores.
 
I told myself that I wasn't going to go all over town chasing the latest installment of Civ 3, but just as a good CivFanatiC should, I did....

Gamestop: tomorrow, but it may not make it to the shelves until Thursday, because the attendant said there are "60" games being released tomorrow...

Wal-mart: Had the sticker on the shelf, but no game. Price was $29.36.

Best Buy: I had a false alarm there, for when I was searching in the Strategy section, the word "Conquest" caught my eye all right, however, upon further inspection, I dejectedly saw that it was only "American Conquests...." Thursday is the projected date of arrival there.
 
i'm pissed for not getting the game today. all the damn hype first said oct 28th, then it was switched to nov4th. NOW it's nov6th?!?! :mad: :( :mad: i'm blaming the califorian arsonist. first i lost my house, then i'm not even getting to play CIIIC on my burned out compooter.
 
My Amazon order has not shipped as of this evening.

i think this pretty much proves that there are shipping difficulties in getting c3c to the people that want, need, and deserve it.
 
My gamestop.com order shipped earlier today, and I specified the overnight shipping so I might get it tomorrow. Good thing I canceled my amazon order because they messed up my ETA when I changed my shipping speed. I believe they ran out of copies and placed them on backorder.

EDIT:
Hopefully they didn't ship me Civ III Gold because that would really suck :cry: .
 
OK - since I live in Atlanta you'd think some store some where would have it. I have checked every store I could think of. I started about 5pm and got home at 9pm. Here's what I found:

Best Buy - Predicted Thursday or Friday.

Super Wal-Mart - Sticker on shelf but no game. Minimum wage worker gave me a blank stare.

Super Target - Civili-what???

Media Play - Predicted Thursday

GameStop - Thursday He Guesses :rolleyes:

K-Mart - Predicted Friday or Next Week.

EB - Promised tomorrow.

GameBAY - Friday

Babbages - Friday Maybe??

CompUSA - He said Thursday but in CompUSA speak that means next week.

I even checked some mom and pop place around the corner that never has games until a week or two later. He guessed a week.

Silly me thinking someone would have a game on the RELEASE DATE. And don't give me excuses or any of that "Oh it shipped on the 4th but won't be in the store until..... BS". Every other company and game in the world has their games in at least SOME store on the release date. Maybe Atari will pull the semantics card out and say, "Well we did release it on the release date."

Arggghh!!!! I WANT MY CONQUESTS!!!! :mad: :eek: :mad: :confused:
 
That's just scary to think about what game I will be getting in the mail tomorrow (that’s what my ord # said with FedEx). I mean, so many people have checked all these stores and not found the game yet... What are the chances of me getting conquest and not gold edition! I got a bad feeling that I’m about to get the shaft… :(
 
Wow am I glad that I don't have to put up with all this frustration in the shipping procedures and such. But I still have to wait 4 days before I can pick up the game.
 
I just checked Amazon and their Civ 3 page says "usually ships in 1 to 2 weeks". That's really terrible. What's up Atari?
 
Looks like EB is the place to go. There are about 6, or 7 of them in my city and I'm planning to hit all them tomorrow, until I find this elusive game.

Failing that, I'll just hang out in the loading dock and wait for the delivery truck to pull in, and then I'm going to jack them.

One way or another I'm getting this game.

Oh yeah, I feel the flu symptoms coming........... looks like I'll have to call in sick tomorrow. :D
 
I have a test in college tomorrow and many homework assignments due the next day, so even if it shipped today, I couldnt enjoy it till Friday anyway.

BTW I ordered from Gamestop Preorder, and I checked my Wellsfargo account summary, and they took the money out of my account. Funny thing is, the transaction is dated with tomorrow's date. ?? That has to mean something right?

i ordered it at my local eb games they said they would have it on 11/5 so tommorow after work .. nay be4 work imma gonna check it out .. unfortunatly i am underpaid :crazyeye: so i cant even afford to "do the sick of you boss today routine"
