Janet Jacksons Boob: On Purpose?

Wow, the ignorance is pretty deep. Have you not read anything our Canadian and European posters have said? Nudity is normal anywhere and they don't have a bunch of demon posessed 7 year olds groping women. Nudity is natural. Stop blaming childrens problems on what they see on television. Fortunately you are only 19 and have plenty of time to figure out how the real world works. or not.

What if I said that it is ignorant to assume that the way kids would act in one nation is the same it would be in others. I saw these kids turn this way, when exposed. It isn't ignorance on my part. I'm not just some dumb kid that doesn't know any better.

what's really the big deal, i mean, a breast is just a breast. i've seen 'em more than once and i'm only 14(15 in four days). what really sickens me is that the FCC is trying to sue CBS for millions over this(according to the 1st Amendment of our Constitution, this should be illegal). but it wouldn't suprise me if it was on purpose since often times fading stars do ouragous things to get back the spotlight. but i have no proof of this.

People in fake spacesuits landing a fake moon??

Good Lord people, it was supposed to be a tribute to Columbia. They could have picked a better song, but it wasn't that bad.

FCC is trying to sue CBS for millions over this(according to the 1st Amendment of our Constitution, this should be illegal).

The FCC isn't sueing for jack, they don't have to. They're doing their job. Nudity on nationally aired TV isn't free speech or free press, don't try to twist it as such- not to mention it's against FCC regulations.

maybe next she'll get nose surgery like her brother.then again how do we know he really got it, i mean, he says he only got one minor plastic surgery:lol:.

My wife told me that she heard on the news that Janet admitted this was on purpose, FYI.

The Super Bowl is only of interest to Americans. The rest of the world watches and plays REAL football (only people in the good 'ol USofA call it 'soccer' ). Yank 'football' is more like rugby if anything (no offense to rugby fans).

3 times more Chinese watched the SB than Americans.

Hmmm, now that I think about it, this site that you all visit doesn't allow nudity either, I believe cause it's visited by young people.

What did turn them? the exposion itself? Or the ridiculous 'puritan' reaction to it?

Once again: there is SCIENTIFICAL evidence nudity will NOT harm kids.

Go search for it at a university in your area. I am pretty sure there must be some reports on it.

Here you go Zarn! And all others that think kids turn into demons after being exposed to nudity.

link that proves you are wrong

From the chaper Conclusion :

The results of the research presented would seem to speak clearly and with force: children's exposure to nudity is not only not harmful, it appears to be beneficial.

It is a sad statement on a society when a murdered human corpse on tv is less forbidden than a live human breast.

What is a boob on tv? Does it really matter? How is it different than some male actor's ass-crack which is already shown. Personally I think our society has much more important things to worry about.

I'm from Denmark(little nation north of Germany, next to Sweden. Morten Andersen, kicker of Kansas City is Danish. Also Viggo MOrtensem, Aragorn), here Amarican football is a big hit. Actually this year all the matches in the Play-offs were shown. I personely also watch it every week. Becouse of the tim differense its shown in the middle of the night.

Stapel, you miss one major point in your article:

"non-sexual nudity is not harmful for children (and is actually beneficial)[/quote]

Seeing Jackson and Timberlake bump 'n grind, and him rip off part of her outfit as he sing "I'll have you naked by the end of this song" is far, far, from non-sexual.

So 300 million Chinese watched the SB and Danes can't get enough of it...and Michael only got one surgery done. Whatever. Here's to boobs!

(I just want to clarify that I'm not opposed to kids seeing nudity but rather nudity that serves some purpose other than just to display it 'as is.' It's not some chick doing her shopping topless on TV. More like it's her feeling herself up and teasing some superstud on TV. There's a difference.
In fact, more women should go topless in public. Hell, men do it all the time and people rarely complain.
BTW, if you really care about the kiddies, don't put them in front of a TV (or PC) in the first place. Take them to a nude beach instead! That way they won't be as screwed up by distorted TV values and will see what real life is like...although some of the human mutations you'll find on a nude beach may have a severe effect on you.)

Couldn't have put it better myself.

You want to know what's armfull, making a BIG deal out of it.

(5 year old boy)"Hey, mam - was that a breast?"
"yeah, so what do you think about the game so far?"

(5 year old boy)"Hey, mam - was that a breast?"
"Oh, MY GOOD - MY BABY, DID YOU SEE THAT, CLOSE YOUR EYES, CLOSE THEM. DEAR LORD. *Starts crying* WHAT HAS HAPPEND TO THIS WORLD WHEN YOU CAN'T WATCH SOME FAMLY-TV WITHOUT SEXUAL CONTENT. !!LET'S INVADE CANADA!!"

So when regulations say that broadcast TV says that it shouldn't contain such things, and it's advertised to the public as "family tv" that doesn't include such things, then people don't have the right to get angry when it then DOES include said things?

I don't care if you want to take your kids to nude beachs, or teach them about the birds and the bees by showing them a porno. But don't tell me how to raise mine.

Was that supossed to be aimed at me?

There was no Puritan reaction on anyone's part after they saw.

While I think that anti-nudity on TV is a bit ridiculous here, that's exactly the point as to why it shouldn't be allowed. It should be up to the parents to decide when, where, and how children are taught about sexuality. Having it thrust upon yourself without your permission or consent can be unsettling.

Not that I'm a prude, or anything, but it's my responsibility to teach my kids the birds and the bees. And I'd like to do it on my schedule, thank you very much.

Personally, I make sure I explain to my children what it is they're watching. Cartoons, movies, violence & sexuality needs to be explained to them so they can put it into perspective.
