I plan to destroy everyone eventually because I am shooting for conquest.

Buying Education was a good thing. If you would have waited until another civ had Education, it probably would have been some time while the mayans could have reasarched Astronomy and further.

I am now the new tech leader, so getting education helped speed the progress up into astronomy. I want to get boats that can cross the ocean to meet the other two civilizations.

I accept this deal I made with the Russians, it also says that we were "friends" of the Celts!

To start a closing to this war, the capital Carthage is taken. I also got the Oracle, but it needs to be much farther north to have any effect.

The Mongols are down to one city, either the Russians or the Mayans will take it soon. I don't bother because my units won't get to the city fast enough. Hopefully they live for 20 turns so I can collect my 40 gold.

Actually, the Aztecs are going to be last, since they can't get off their island for a long time and colonize cities on my mainland after I start razing them. I get rid of Korea, so they don't mess me up in the long run.

The Incans are slightly behind in technology compared to the Russians and the Mayans, but they aren't doing too bad.

And since the Scandinavians had units in my territory, I told them to withdraw or declare war. They declared war, and with 70 military units, this will be a cakewalk.

Electricity is worth a fortune to the other civs. I won't get the full 156 gold per turn if I delcare war on Russia, but this tech leads them to a dead end by the time I will get to them.

A small thing:
About the 1 tile Carthaginian city, you could have allied with the scandinavians against them and hoped that their berserkers would raze the city so you can swoop in with a settler and claim the tile :mischief:
But I guess that would have taken too much work.
 
For things like this if I just want them wiped out ASAP I would make peace with them, and trade them a bunch of techs or gold for the offshore city, then re-declare and take their capital.

Of course, that more or less goes against the spirit of the game...

I attempted that, they would not budge for any amount. I think leaving it alone is not a huge problem, since I still have four large civs to take care of.

My score is three times higher than anyone else and my power is six times higher than the current front-runner, the Russians.
