Some textures i based on drawings from books or finded on google images - wich was helpful in making it realistic. Texture for Me-262 is that one reworked from www.colacola.se Thx Anders Lejczak for making it and allowing to use it. so here' my "Jet Set Society" ;)

All have 256x256 texture (some have additional 64x64 gloss texture)
Models have around 700-900 triangles

Bellow texts came from wikipedia

Bell P-59 Airacomet
The Bell P-59A was a fighter aircraft built in the United States during World War II. The protoype XP-59A became the first jet-powered aircraft to fly in the US on 1 October 1942.

Campini Caproni
The Caproni Campini N.1 was an early thermojet-powered aeroplane. In 1931 Italian engineer Secondo Campini submitted a report on the potential of jet propulsion to the Italian Air Ministry, and the following year, demonstrated a jet-powered boat in Venice. In 1934, the Air Ministry granted approval for the development of a jet aircraft to demonstrate the principle. Campini turned to the Caproni aircraft factory to help build the prototypes, and two aircraft and a non-flying ground testbed were eventually constructed. The first flight was on August 27, 1940 with test pilot Mario de Bernardi at the controls.

Dassault Ouragan
The Dassault M.D.450 Ouragan (French: Hurricane) was a 1940s French jet fighter-bomber. While technologically unremarkable, Ouragan played a key role in resurgence of French aviation industry after World War II.

De Havilland Vampire
The de Havilland DH.100 Vampire was the second jet-engined aircraft commissioned by the Royal Air Force during the Second World War (the first being the Gloster Meteor), although it did not see combat in that conflict. The Vampire served with front-line RAF squadrons until 1955. It also served with numerous other air forces worldwide (see Operators). Almost 4,400 Vampires were built, a quarter of them under licence.

Messerschmitt Me-262
The Messerschmitt Me 262 Schwalbe (German "Swallow") was the world's first operational jet-powered fighter aircraft. It was produced in World War II and saw action starting in 1944 in bomber/reconnaissance and fighter/interceptor roles. Officially named Schwalbe, because the swallow is one of the fastest birds known when going into a dive to capture and eat an airborne insect, German pilots nicknamed it the Turbo, while the Allies called it the Stormbird. While the Me 262 had a negligible impact on the course of the war (approximately 150 Allied aircraft losses for 100 Me 262 losses), its design was highly influential on postwar aircraft development.

Nakajima Kikka
The Nakajima Kikka (Japanese: 中島 橘花, "Orange Blossom") was Japan's first jet-powered aircraft. It was developed late in World War II and the first prototype had only flown once before the end of the conflict.

F-86 Sabre
The North American F-86 Sabre (sometimes called the Sabrejet) was a transonic combat aircraft developed for the US Air Force. The F-86 was developed in the 1940s following the end of World War II and was one of the most-produced western jet fighters in the Cold War era.

Model has around 570 triangles, 256x256 texture based on drawings from books and my invention , button. I've made two version one for USAF (on the screenshot) and second generic (the yelow bars are teamcollored and all USAF's texts and symbols are removed).

Gloster Meteor
The Gloster Meteor was the Allies' first operational jet fighter. Designed by George Carter, it first flew in 1943 and commenced operations on 27 July 1944 with 616 Squadron of the Royal Air Force (RAF). The Gloster Meteor was not an aerodynamically advanced aircraft, nor even the world's fastest aircraft on introduction, but George Carter and his design team at Gloster had succeeded in producing an effective jet fighter that served the RAF and other air forces for decades. Meteors saw action with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) in the Korean War and remained in service with numerous air forces until the 1970s.

Thx :)

I have in plans (my to do list is huge ;)) Japanese suicide jet fighter - Oshka, Saab 29 Tunnan, Shooting Star, Gloster Meteor and Heinkel He 178

Especially looking forward to the P-80 and the Meteor!

Are you considering the MiG, as well? Or the Gotha Go 229?

As for the Heinkel He 178, that's the prototype, I believe. The fuctional Jet fighter that evolved from the design is the Heinkel He 280 which first flew in 1941 (according to Wiki -- I read elsewhere it had a test flight as early as 1939).

Or were you meaning the Heinkel He 162 Volksjager?

For migs i use mig15 - i don't see the need of making mig-9
for the german - i was thinking of prototype but Heinkel he 280 would be even better :)

Glad to see the Kikka. It's a pretty rare to see that plane recognized.

It would also be interesting to see how you'd implement the Me 163 Komet or the J8M1 Shusui.

I wonder how functionally different rocket interceptors would work in a Civ environment? A significantly higher intercept percentage? Would they even be worth the effort, or just novelties?

Any chance of seeing some of the unusual jets discussed at the http://www.luft46.com site? Some of these were created for civ3 back in the day.

These jets are great, keep up the good work. We all really appreciate these new units.

Great site :) - i've added it to favourites - about this units - maybe - for sure not soon - i have to do list filled for next year ahead ;)

Ok New plane added :) somethin for killing mig 15s :) - check first post :)

These units are excellent. Great job on the detail and skins.
