The world was changing. The invention of AI by the American scientists led to an age of expansion for the USA into Africa and the Middle East, which immediately brought world war between the United States and the rest of the world. It wasnt long before the defeated Germany was resurrected by a lift upon all the sanctions put on to it by the now-dissolved United Nations. While the rest of the world shrank under the powerful American armies, the Germans hid and waited until it was ready. A German scientist by the name of Lechtiensi finally made a breakthrough. He was able to clone men. Not only one man, or two, but thousands and thousands of them, breeding them for the new Fuher. Finally the United States hit Germany, and the world went up in smoke. The two superpowers waged a nuclear, biological, mechanical war as AI robots faced a cloned army. In the end, the two monsters had defeated themselves. The world lay in waste. It is now a time of new empires, of new leaders, of new armies. Will your nation rise to the top as the next superpower, or will it dissolve just as many past nations have?

RULES
JOINING
There are 16 nations to be taken by anyone who wants them. However, there will be a 24 hour honors list like in JNES. Meaning that there are guaranteed positions for the players listed, mostly because I believe they deserve a spot in the nes as they are either JNES players, board game veterans, or someone who doesnt get to play these kind of games much but who loves them
. This does not guarantee them the nation of their choice, just a spot in whatever is left when they get here. If there are no spots left, then the last person to join must give up his/her nation. The list is: RoddyVR, Uknemesis, AnarchyRulz, Sheep2, Kennelly, IceEye, Toasty, Dexter, and SKILORD.
HOW TO PLAY
This nes is somewhat different from other board game ness. Please read this carefully and ask me if you have any questions.
Earning Money
You earn money by the provinces you have. All provinces have the same value except European provinces, which has a +1c to them. Europe ends at provinces KOM, LEN, MOS, and SEV. Small archipelagos earn you a +1. All other provinces earn you a +3.
Spending Money
You can use money for a number of things. You can build cities for 20c, units for various prices, give money to people, or bank the money you have. Money is also used for keeping upkeep on your units and cities.
Movement
You can only move as many provinces/seas as your unit that you are moving can. Loading to a fleet takes the land armys turn, meaning you can not unload the same turn if the unit only has a movement of 1. Loading does not take the fleets movement point. When a unit is made, it cannot attack the same turn, but it can move.
CLAIMING PROVINCES
To claim a province, you need only move a unit into it. If two nations move a unit to the same unclaimed province, then either the nation with the higher overall attack points automatically gets the province, sending the other nations army to the province from where it came. When the attack points are the same, then a skirmish happens, and the victor gets the province, the looser dies.
CONCERNING BATTLE ISSUES
Your fleets will automatically defend from the sea they are in from any invasion force of any kind that is going to land on your coast. Basically, to invade, you must defeat all enemy fleets bordering their coast in that sea. More will come here, highlighted when it is new.
DIPLOMACY
Since it is post modern era, everyone has contact. Also, I would like to express my wish that wars are not fought in this game for anything that is out of character. This is a weakness in ness and I wish not to exploit it in this game.
CITIES
Cities can be built in any province, as many as you want per province, and cost 20c each. However, this is where it gets different. A city is not for earning extra money, like in most games. Instead, the city adds a +1 defense to any unit stationed in that province, and gives you the ability to build the units that require cities. A city also costs an upkeep of 1 per turn.
MAP
The map, as you can see, has been tweaked a little. I have tried to remove provinces and make the world equal for everyone. It still is a little lopsided, and so you as the players will need to tell the future of it. My apologies to those who are penalized a little, but this is what happens in real life, you just must make it work. Also, to island nations (Japan, England, Australia), you get a free transport in the beginning.
UNITS and FIGHTING
This will be described on the nations templates page.
NATIONS TEMPLATES
All nations templates will be on another thread, as well as more rules.
SIGNUPS
Good luck, AND PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP IF YOU ARE GOING TO QUIT RIGHT OF WAY. IF YOU DO, YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY WHEN THE NEXT JNES IS UP.
