I fully recognize you have no idea what makes a good leader. Time and history will be the judge...not you today. A good leader often makes unpopular choices....leading isnt about being popular CivG...but I didnt expect you to realize that.....
I know what make a good leader. Bush aint one of them. Sorry to tell you that today, the whole world is the judge including of me about Bush. More than likely Time and History will not Judge Bush in the most favorable light and would be known as "The Worst President Ever".

Somehow I doubt that. Lets test it. Give me an example of who you think is a good leader. Think carefully now.

News to you CG....many other presidents were viewed as "the worst president ever" during their tenure in office and yet history has been quite kind to them. One of them happened to be a fellow named Abraham Lincoln. He was extremely unpopular, but he was a leader and did what he thought was right. Bush will most likely be viewed in the top half of presidents we have had and most certainly and without a doubt will not be viewed as the worst president ever.

George Washington
Junichiro Koizumi
Pope John Paul II

Did they do any screw ups like Bush did? No.

You forgot Polan... ...umm.. ...Nixon and LBJ! I guess you forgot about Nixon's involvement with watergate and LBJ's incodent that lead us into the meatgrinder in Southeast Asia. Lets also not forget about Lincoln's vice president in his second term.

Quit making me laugh. Bush is one of THE worst presidents EVER. Not even him saying "Internets" would save him . I wonder what it must be like living in a Bush dreamworld where Bush is placed up in a pedestal despite the news of his unpopulatiry ;).

You have a problem habla da engrish?

No need to be uncivil now. I clearly understood what you said but was questioning the accuracy of your speculation.

...When he lost the election back in 2000...

Gore lost the election on a technicality. He received more votes than Bush in 2000 and based on Bush's sharp decline in popularity and loss of public confidence with all but the hard-core faithful like yourself, Gore would win by an even larger margin today. Do you have any facts or links to support your speculation of a Bush victory or is it just your wishful thinking?

And by the way, did you happen to see the results of the last election? Hardly a vote of confidence in the way things have been going now is it?

Thank the lord he isnt going to ruin things again.

Somehow, MobBoss and Hard-core Bush supporters are in denial of the realities of whats going on in the present state.

I was joking. :) I'm not a big fan of political bumper stickers.

Though I did actually design one once, but was too afraid due to the large union workforce in my county to put it on my car. It had a union representative bending a union member over a desk with the quotation "What Has Your Union Done For You Lately". :D Had another that said "Proud NOT to be Union. I earn my pay raises".

I missread your initial post. I thought it said: "seeing" instead of "saving"

I can see why you didn't put them up :D It's like a car "kick me" sign.

How is losing the electoral college a technicality? The electoral college is the Constitutionally-approved means for choosing the winner of our Presidential elections. The overall popular vote means nothing. If it did, candidates would use their time and resources very differently, and would spend more time in states that they know they are going to lose. That Gore won the popular vore in 2000 is completely irrelevant. Bush could have won the popular vote as well if that was what actually mattered.

Bush would win. I have no doubt about it at all.

You've seen the results of the 2006 congressional elections - where Democrats by and large ran on platforms like "My opponent is a Republican - just like George Bush!!!" and Republicans tried to distance themselves from him.

Bush barely beat Kerry in 2004 (do you think that Kerry was a better candidate than Gore was?) and did so by painting the Democrats as weak on terrorism and Iraq. As for terrorism, that song has been played to death - there's been no successful attacks since 2001, which you could argue plays into Bush's hands (he's stopped them all over the last 6 years) or plays into Dem hands (one big hit but since then the terrorists haven't tried again). Gore would play the clip of Bush saying "Good job, Brownie" and everyone could question whether the administration has been competent enough to stop anyone besides shoe-bombers and morons trying to deconstruct the Brooklyn Bridge. And Iraq... Iraq is officially the albatross around the Bush administration's neck now.

Gore would demolish Bush in both the popular vote and the electoral vote today. Bush would not win a single state he lost and Gore would pick up several states, including Florida and Ohio.

DUde i love it bro cos like..yeah workers are just like lazy hahaha

:goodjob:

As for Kerry being out of the race, I am a little disappointed. I would have hoped he would have jumped in and taken votes away from Hillary to increase the odds that she would not get the nomination. Not that Kerry stood a chance to get the nomination (or that I wanted him to get the nomination), but most of the primary votes that would have gone to Kerry will now likely go to Hillary.

Those guys were not bad leaders. Good job. Were they flawless? No.

Ah....CG..LBJ didnt get us into Vietnam.........Kennedy did that. LBJ inherited it.

I am not putting him up on a pedestal. I am merely saying he is far from the worst president ever. If people were actually honest about it, instead of emotional they would see that. Lets face it...the economy is booming. Unemployment is way down and things are going very well for the economy. That alone makes him better than a very large number of presidents who let the economy fail on their watch.
