OOC: Why am I still in a recession? Two turns ago I was supposed to go up an economy level. And I still was only given 10 IP instead of 20. Actually the income is right I just forgot to change the econ level and the numbers in the equation.

Also, I never said to invade Siam at all. I can show you the orders that said 5 divisions to Siam and Laos.

Peace? I shall give 5 EP of reparations to each of you.

We are greatly sorry for our commander's mistake, which caused lives to be lost and innocent men and women to be killed from both sides. He shall be executed for wasting Chinese and Siamese lives on his little personal quests.

I am honored to welcome you into the folds of the Mexican Republic. You will continue to hold power within the Hawaiian islands, but as a part of our glorious nation. And I am sure that with the help of the British, we will protect you from any further imperialism by Europeans.

To: Germany
From: Porfirio Diaz, El Presidente of Mexico

We completely echo Britain's sentiments. Your imperialism in Hawaii is almost as bad as that of the US. Despite Britain and I both establishing relations and protection over Hawaii, publicly, you still chose to participate in an aggressive land-grab. We suggest that you agree to Britain's terms and pay 10 ECU to them and 15 ECU to Mexico as reparations.

We have not laid a finger on Hawaii, and we resent such a statement. We doubt that Mexico is a nation that should be lecturing the international community on unlawful land grabs.

To: Mexico, United States, Germany

Regardless of what the United States may think, Germany's actions effectively were tantamount to a declaration of war against Mexico and Great Britain, and even moreso Hawaii. We believe that the German government should pay 25ECU in reparations to both Mexico and Great Britain, so that we may compensate the families of those soldiers whose lives have been needlessly lost, to show Germany's apologetic stance towards the situation, and to repair the damage done to the Hawaiian coast. Refusal will only bring on greater sanctions.

Furthermore, the United State's hostile actions to the Confederacy, and the debated conspiracy to control the Confederacy's government hardly makes that nation's reputation spotless.

Vulture! Neither of you are owed anything, stop being greedy. If Germany decides to back down, reparations will go direct to Hawii, not to you.

The People's Brotherhood of Colombia is, to say the least, alarmed by the alliance between the needlessly aggressive Mexicans and the British imperialist dogs.

Germany, as far as all can tell, was not aware of your "protection" of Hawaii.. Perhaps it was unannounced, like your wonderful "protection" of Guatemala?

Reparations shall not be neccessary.

They, too, have lost good men. It shall take them long enough to recover.

Unless you want to be seen to kick your opposition while they're down, of course.

Then again, seeing recent Mexican foreign policy, that would not really surprise us.

Whilst our forces are busy preparing for operations on another front, we sincerely hope the Mexicans shall begin allowing true diplomacy.

Even if they must learn it from scratch.

Hawaii is now a sovereign territory of Mexico. Many hundred British soldiers died giving their lives for the safety of the islands, not to mention the sacrifices of the Mexicans for taking on the reconstruction of that nation. It is only right that reparations be paid to both Britain and Mexico, if not for all this, than at least to show Germany does not intend to go to war!

As for Colombia, your hasty sword-rattling has not earned you much admiration in the international community either. Any hostile action taken against British colonies will be responded to with swift and decisive vengeance, or to the territories of its allies and trade partners.

France supports the reparations for Hawaii

The NHRE supports the reparations for Hawaii as they were the assaulted party. However we are concerned over Mexico's continued expansionism which would mean these reparations would effectively be a payment to Mexico. Should reparations be paid to Hawaii they should be used in Hawaii.

Thus we find ourselves in a situation similar to Italy's less diplomatic statement.

We had hoped that the colonial expansionistic view would be gone from these shores after all of the various fights for independence, but sadly it seems independence is simply a pretty coat to put on new agressors.

Great Britain is certain that all reparations paid to Mexico will go to repair the damage done to the Hawaiian towns assaulted in this wanton and unprovoked attack. Reparations paid to Britain will attempt to aid the Mexican effort to stabilize Hawaii, and compensate the families of those soldiers sent to Hawaii after being assured that it was, "A quiet garrison, nice weather, and friendly natives." Only to wake up in the middle of the night to German gunfire.

Perhaps you shouldn't have secretly stationed troops there then?

Where else are you secretly going about your expansionism?

CC: Hawaiian Reparations

I would like to announce today that Britain is indeed correct in her assumptions. If, Germany agrees to pay reparations for their unwarranted attack, the funds will be sent directly to Hawaii for use in rebuilding any damaged areas, paying families of the soldiers needlessly murdered, and other necessities involved.

Also, while we will choose to ignore some of the uncouth and incorrect statements issued by Colombia, we would like to point out that Mexico's relation with Hawaii, including her defensive pact, was made clear to the international community long before Germany's attacks. Also, we wonder how Colombia thinks that we will be able to "kick Germany while they are down", considering their losses were minimal, and they were the aggressors, not to mention that they are one of the most powerful nations on earth.

While we are sure that Italy's statements are appreciated by their ally, we would ask that they let Germany speak for themselves instead of issuing unwarranted insults about a matter that is little concern to them.

I suppose one of our other horrible acts of imperialism was supporting your nation's claim to lands the Ottomans were interested in re-importing back into their empire. So sorry about that.

Great Britain is only interested in what Germany has to say, and will address the complaints of other nations, but will not allow them to interfere in any sort of solution. We continue to request Germany's presence for peace-talks, and affirmation of their willingness to pay reparations. Germany should be aware that a failure to pay any form or amount of reparations to any party is in the eyes of Great Britain admitting to an undeclared state of war against Hawaii.

Not to even bring up the fact that the majority of the international community supports and is willing to back up our cry for reparations.

Perhaps the Germans should not have tried to invade our sovereign soil. Hawaii invited the British and Mexicans to aid us, they need not justify their actions.

True, we do indeed like to rattle our swords. What of it?

Surely, is not rattling swords better than using them to oppress and subdue?

No matter. We have little patience to alert you to you and your ally's hypocrisy, and you have made it clear enough that you have little patience to listen.

We are deeply disturbed by the actions of the Mexicans.

If you will allow it, we would wish to station 5 divisions along your border, so as to at least provide some form of speed-bump against their aggression.

We will, of course, be more than willing to negotiate a fair price, should you accept.

Ramon Galvez

UK, who is this "majority" you speak of?

OOC: can anyone link me to where the Hawii/UK agreement was made?

So it is clear, the NHRE had no issues with defensive pacts and close ties and all of that between nations. Our only concern with Mexico or GB's role in this is the seemingly neverending, violent or peaceful, annexations of Mexico's neighbors.

We condemn the German actions even more as they have essentially declared war on Hawaii.

Colombia is rather laughable to speak of imperialism, and then offer to station troops in a country it has up until now had no dealings with whatsoever.

As for Italy's question, Britain speaks of itself, Mexico, Hawaii, France and the New Holy Roman Empire. All other nations have said nothing on the subject, beyond yourself.

OOC: Abaddon, it was in last update.

OOC: So Germany had no way of knowing of this pact then?

Also, why is acting so caring about Hawii? I know its probably IC excuse making, but this is a NOTHING nation, like the many others that have been steamrollered by the bigger nations.
