I would probably have funded Ottoman resistance groups clandestinely without ever declaring open war, or hire them and equip them with British armaments dressed up to appear to be sold on the black market and then send them out to fight for Britain under the guise of Ottoman independence.

All to set up a puppet government and claim the Middle-East for Britannia. Without a shot being fired by an Englishman
