"Jumping to Prince" SG

...will be exploring the world(STRAIGHT LINE!!!)

No! Explore in diagonal reaches! Doing so reveals more territory and increases the likelihood of discovering other civs and uninhabited islands.

Soon the fun begins!

okay, good point.

so diagonal down one movement, diagonal up the next so a sorta curvy straight line

circumnavigation 1st, civs 2nd!

Nice work, gentlemen...

Ok here's my report:

0: MM Lyons to make it grow.
316gq.jpg

Also, I've checked and it appears that the French already built the Colosseus.
1: Paris finished Caravel, so i've loaded the explorer onto it and sent it South.
Started WorkBoat for Rheims.
2: Working and doing stuff.
3: Lyons culture pops 3, also it finished a caravel so I sent it East.
4: Finished Workboat at Paris, started caravel.
5: MM cities to reduce the minus rate and to work some cottages.
6: Dropped research for 1 turn to 0% for deflict research.
7:

Bede thinks we are 2nd in culture. neat.
Also, 1 turn before calander i've found out that we are close to the bottom of the map:
331qg.jpg

8: Calander tells us that we are in the top west middle at the map:
340sb.jpg

Starting to work the Calander stuff. Start Hunting for 1 turn.
9: Hunting finished, started Currency.
10: Orleans finished Harbor, starting Aquaduct becuase it gotten sick. we can chop and whip it and then use Immotep to hurry the Hanging Gardens=\
In Conclusion, im disappointed that we still havent found anyone yet.
The Save(TM):

Get that Caravel moving *WEST* NOT SOUTH!

Way to go Skunk! Congratulations!

thanks guys. I'm not sure if you knew this or not sprite, but we ARE the french. And we have the colossus. .

Oh, and please tell me that our caravel got sucked into the bermuda triangle and wound up at the south pole. The amazing race has begun, gentlemen. Who...will...win... ONE MILLION DOLLARS!?!?!?

?! LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
OMG I forgot we are the french lolz.
and the caravel with the explorer did went south... the western caravel is another caravel.

will post more later, but thought this was exciting...

in between our continent and the big ass one, in the upper part of the map, there's alot of black.

it CANT be all sea. We should send our caravels there. I am very glad that sending the caravel south instead of west did not stop us from getting circumnavigation.

we now need galleons. if we find someplace to settle.

check that dark area between our continents! its vital to know if we got really screwed!

EDIT: Just so my turnset makes sense, lyons wasnt growing so we could get the caravel out earlier. on higher difficulty levels, this could have made the difference between getting it or not

Besides the obvious, nothing of note happened.

Orleans grows: 6
Orleans finishes: Aqueduct

Turn 211 (810 AD)

Turn 212 (820 AD)

Turn 213 (830 AD)

Turn 214 (840 AD)

Turn 215 (850 AD)

I went 11 turns to 1)get us to an relatively even turn, and 2)make sure we got the nav bonus. Also, on the pic there, you can see a "bright spot" west of the big continent ~ we have a caravel there, my intent was fogbusting to find rogue islands, so that can continue. Obviously, they are READY to trade (none of my initial meeting screen pics saved nor did my pic of the f4 tech screen) ~ we can get a LOT of stuff pretty quickly, and it seems to me that the buddhist bloc is the one we want to ally with :) also, once we get our sci rate up more, we need more cities asap ~ one city should make settlers and workers so we can fill up the island

The southern caravel was a 'spare' caravel ~ we had two circumnavigating the whole time.

SkunkDoctor >> skip ~ !! * let us know when you're back! Also, let's go back to taking ten turns for now...

I'm thinking ally Peter, Liz, and, if we can, Toku ~ maybe we should make first trades w/him?? We can pretty much get 7 or 8 techs for 2 of ours, civil service, and one other expensive one...i'm researching astronomy for now, but it's due in many turns (30+ --see pics)
