Kal-el's Unit Concept Sketches

Well.. like the Scottish Riflemen in WWI and WWII armies.. an olive green longsleeved shirt, a skirt, and a helmet. However, it would be pretty cool to see the helmet with a strip of feathers or whatever they used to make the helmets of legionaries.

It really depends on how you look at it. In the game there are Rifleman and then Infantry. Infantry are more WWI and WWII but the rifleman are post-1815. The Musketman pretty much takes the 1400-1815 part, however I modded it so I renamed the musketman to the Arquebusier, and added the Napoleonic Infantry to the game renaming them to the Musketman.

What unit are you making and if it is some sort of Industrial-Modern Infantry what exactly is it?

I too would LOVE to see an Infantry with the horse hair (feathers were also used, but it was less common, as, I can tell you from some aquaintences i have with personal experince on the matter, feathers dont hold up nearlyl as well, and dont tend to look as nice either)

as for my unit- well, your drawing closer to what it is more or less, but officailly, no comment, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves :)

you try a cres tof horse hair somtime- much more durable, and tends to look nicer, but it sort of depends on what look your going for to begin with ;)

I prefer a feather head dress or a Cherokee turban..

yet my head is the best

I dunno. I mean, it's not like up until this point I sit here saying "I wonder what Mobilize looks like...."

I guess maybe I just think you look too cool to be spending your time on a Civilization website... ;)

Better do than me... I've chosen the route of no hair at all... :p (or very little anyway)

thats nothing, my hair is by far the best :D;)(check the member collage to see my photo ;)- I think after you see it, and the picture in my link, youll notic a trend in my photographic skills ;))

Nice you guys. Yeah well I spend a lot of time online because I live in Cherokee Nation, Northeastern Oklahoma. If you don't know about Oklahoma, for some people outside of the US, its all.. plains.. Tahlequah is nice though, when the Cherokee were moved here we made it nice.. though now we're becoming a minority.

See, during the school year I am mostly on this. During the summer I will be on very little because I go to my Uncle and Aunt's in California. I joined this message board last January and I wasn't on this website at all from June to August. I'll probably be on it more than last summer when summer comes, but I'll be busy because there is 100 times as much to do there.

All that I do other than go online is go to Texas, Missouri, or Oklahoma City (which is nothing compared to California), and play shows with my band.. thats all.

This thread is turning off-topic. So Xen, when do you plan on releasing those sketches of yours?

soon, latelly, due to school, and a few other distractions that accompany it, and a general lack of insperation to draw the positions needed, things have been going slow, a basic pic, that shows off what the unit would look like is done, put its the position work for the attack.defend anim that I would like to get done- i have in mind a dynamic attack animation, involving the soldire (or Centurion in this case, I like head crests to much, and Centurions are the ones who wear em' ;)) crouching down onto one knee braceing himself, while fireing a very large "double barred gun" of a as of now unspeicifed type (hint, while it would be neat as hellm, its not a gredade launcher, nor of a high calliber of ammunition) the unit itself dose a nce blend of basically ancient Rome, and the modern world, with a little extra to kick it up a notch, and with good reason, but that reason will be speicifed upon release ;))

i'm actually considering weather or not to post the "main concept" sketch, but not in this thread, this thread is devoted to Kal-El, and what we want him to draw ;)
