KalNES

I used them because they seemed nice and simple.. still unsure on a few things, and costs have been tweaked about. Trying to encourage people to use projects aswell.

I totally cocked up the start, i allowed 1 update where they could spend like the inital 7EP start up...caused a lot of confusion and those who pumped it into stats rather than troops potentially have quite a breaking advantage.

Its something i need to tweak, currently players can buy their way out of instability.

Yes I have noticed that players can buy themselves out of instability. It might be an idea to reduce it to only being able to up 1 level of stability per turn. Thus more care has to be taken with events and so on. (something I've been thinking about). Excepting the initial start up of course

Yes the investment into the stats at the start can lead to odd occurances. Although somebody who DOESN'T buy troops at ALL. I would have just smacked down and had some NPC invade them. Or a cival war (if they didn't invest into stab).

I might remove it as something you can spend money on all together...directly.

Instead have a project of building churches, or public hangings etc.. just force the players to use their imagination rather than

"Spend 2 EP on stability" which is bugging me to high heaven!

I might give it a try an tell you how it goes. Hopefully it would make them think out their actions which could lower stability.

No, but j_eps is cruising for a bruising if he doesnt tackle it in the next set of orders ;)

Problem with starting it in the gaming forum admittedly has brought problems with depth of involvment.. some players i doubt would even notice if i did something.

Blobification???

Nations tend to get bigger, and bigger and bigger without internal matters helping them to blow to bits. It doesn't happen too often, although Gorin in LINES might be going that way. If another nation invades them, they tend to annex large swathes of land rather than release nations etc.

quit teasing us about the blackness! Just get the damn barbarions outta Singodia!

Isn't your Stability system taken from Europa Universalis?

not really, I had a notebook from about a year back with some notes on the system I was going to use for my next NES; my purchase of EU is recent.

About the only change due to EU is -3 to 3, My notebook had a sketch of from 1-10....(similar to the confidence stat). so the range shrank by 3.

Hows it coming? How many nations didnt get orders in this update?

Blobification... I think this deserves to be added to the NESing lexicon.
