Update 5: The Players Pains.....
Domestic:
Lois, centre of the world has undergone some radical changes. The intial cival war, between distant branches of the Imperial lineage was abruptly stopped when a new power stepped in. The Temples, under the hierarchy of the High Priestess. This has come about due to the "revelaton" that the rest of the world must bow at their divine Gods powers. The rest of the world is not going to like this, but they won't know it until the civil war is resolved. And that might take time.
Lois has paid very little attention to the rest of the World, although some friciton has come up over Singods conquests of its northen cities, and Darios control of the straits.
Aarkania has established some colonies and has begun to compete with Darios quite heavily. Both sides having a strong reliance on trade, Darios has also expanded its colonies, but the King has deceided to diverisfy his holdings and expand more into the mainland, where there are less threatning forces nearby. However War seems likly to break out, as Derios charges a high tax on Aarkanian ships passing through the straits.
To the South Archeon is feeling the pinch between the Kingdom of Politia to the South and Binikos trying to rapidly expand its markets, Archeon definitly has the manpower and the ability to crush both, but a recent attempted coup has lowered stablity as the Dictator cracks down on would be dissedents. The Kingdom of Politia meanwhile begins to stabalise as a more military solution is taken to the various factions of the former republic of Lot. And the agriculture economy is expanded to more readily compete with Archeons iron grip of the trade. whilst expansion into the foothills of the river had been completed, some usefull material resources have been obtained.
Binikos meanwhile begins to buildup its navy, and regains control of the most of the trade in the area. Although there are several competitors who have large manpower bases; Attolia, Kamis and Archeon. Kamis Has begun expansion into the mountains south of Caladan, which brought them into some heated arguments with Caladan nearby, as they also expanded into these mountains. The pressure eased off however as Caladan de-emphisied this acitivy in favour of something else....
In the foothills Kamis has found iron and a small deposit of silver, maybe further exploration will find a more sustainable source? Meanwhile Kais has built an important city at the tip of its penisula, the docks are large, but the trade is simply not getting there due to the large amounts of trade being monpolised by Aarkania, Archeon and Binikos.
In Attolia the Government becomes slightly more imperialistic, as the Emperor there decides to expand his holdings around the Binikos sea, and consolodates his position. Imperial Guards strong heavy Infantry with good unit based tactics predominate the new system, and they are kept strong and prove an effective force by building up a strong network of roads joining the cities. Also contact has been made via some minor steppe nations to the south to trade things like Spices, and apparently some large creatures known as Elephants, if a price can be reached.
Karsa; although the ruler was trying to create a more stable nation; he forgot, it was already as stable as possible, but the military is built up and a project is started...
Traskol expands into the mountains, to be closer to God. God rewards them with a major source of silver and two sources of Gold. The Priesthood orders rapid expansion into the mountains and another 4 cities are built to fuel this epxansion.
Darude is built up, the cultures of its componant nations undergo a degree of fusion, and then Alexander expands west, conquering a large segment of the barbarians there. Bringing them into contact with the Gaznel.
Rahinan seeing the writing on the wall, strikes....as does Huran (ok ok, so I got a nation already getting invaded to invade...I feel a bit let down :/).
The Kingdom of Ordos....well you'll see. Suffice to say...Ouch.
Military Events:
The Copticates, a largeish Empire to the South of the Kingdom of Ordos has invaded and crushed most of the Kingdom Of Ordos in quick sucession. The Mountain ownings of the Kingdom held out. They are now a vassal kingdom of the Copticartes. And their peoples are undergoing conversion to the Copticates faith. The main reason for the copticates victory...apart from numbers, might be best attributed to Elephants, and a strong core of Cavarly. Still not much is known of them, of where they came from, or what they want. They are quickly forcing themselves north however and the various uncivilised tribes have begun josteling each other for room. Things might change rapidly.
In the North, the Khanate of Sin fights tenaciously for the first few months after the peace the Krengels signed with the Singod. However time does not work well for such a fragile state, especially when in one of the numerous skirmishes, the Khan of Sin is found and slain. The steppe nature reasserts itself and the Sin armies began fighting between themselves and they are mopped up by the crushingly large Singod armies. Afterwards expansion is undertaken. However Abaddon is reaching a truly monolithic age, and his successor is yet to be named....(hes been around a while

). The return of the levees to the land has sparked a realisation that their is not enough food to go around. Gaznel has profited from this, selling large surplus' to the Singodese.
The Krengels themselves have made a large push south to the rich cities of Lois, and with the wealth aquired from Singod have managed to prosper.
In the East, Rahinin makes a daring strike against Huran, who was at the time attempting to rally the people against the heretics to the north. The peoples response was quite positive, although they didn't deem them heretics proper, as the three nations had coexisted for quite some time, and the religion hard partly evolved to maintain that.
The initial stages of the war go poorly for Huran. Their fleet attacks Rahinans, they have an advantage in numbers, but fighting in waters they are not familiar with against a better trained fleet proves telling, and Hurans fleet is defeated. A large portion manages to escape back to the east, but a number of ships are captured and put into use by Rahninan. However the returning commanders have already begun to learn from the lessons of their encounter and the next round will be less easy for Rahinan.
On land Huran advances a largeish army up the penisula to claim Rahinan's holdings there, the loss off the naval battle causes difficulties in the supply situation, and the Officers do not think to deploy troops to guard the coastline in any meaninfull strength. So when Rahinan makes a landing of troops on the penisula to seize it for themselves. The Huran Officers find themselves in a predicement, however the force Rahainan utilises lacks cavalry (taking up too much room to transport a large force of them on the ships), and thus in the Battle of the Penisula, Huran manages to cause a break in the Rahinan lines and retreat their army through their. They are harried all the way to the bottom of the penisula, where the situation reasserts itself.
Huran Seizes the Rahinan Colonies in revenge, noting that it has no defence, Rahinan content to focus on its more economically usefull teretories. Rahinan makes further forays in an attempt to overturn Hurans recent conquests in the east. Attacking from both the North and From the penisula, they manage to destroy a large portion of Huranese force here, and recapture their colony.
It becoms apparent however that the Hurans main intrest is in the Rahinan Core territories, and with Rahinans fleet supporting it in the east, the small force left on the border with Huran with orders to ambush any Huran attempts to invade is brushed aside by forward elements of the Huran army, what follows was slaughter, as the Huran army conquors its way towards the Rahninan capital, the trade centre is sacked and burnt to the ground, no longer a viable port, its trade vanishes. The Large Rahinan forces rush forward and manage to check the Huran advance in their core territories. However if they continue to lose core territories and cities there other success will have been for naught. For Huran it looks good, it would appear they simply have to seize the Capital which is within arms reach.
(-multiple levees on both sides Huran: -3000 Cavalry, - 500 Death Guard -35 Ships, - 10 000 Infantry Rahinan: -12000 Infantry -2000 cavalry -15 Ships)
(Huran Ships to Adequete, Huran 800 Death Guard to Superior, Rahinan 7000 Infantry to Superior).
(-2 stability each)
And in the West another Nation strikes. Karsa, long been in isolation begins to think that it need slaves. Slaves are a new concept to the people, and the proposed way of getting them is even MORE alien, going outwith their mountains.....What results was not the most stable of things, but the Patriarch manages to convince all involved to raise troops and invade those curious people of Caladan.
Caladan is totally unprepared for this. Being preoccupied with Kamikos and its recent resurgance, the fact that what was assumed was the most insular society going after them works against them. And their armies are repeadly beaten in battle, and Karsa conquors most of Caladan. However outside of Caladans capital, the Superior leadership of the Caladan people begins to reassert itself, and they manage to split the invading army and destroy two large chunks of it. The resulting stalemate, Karsa's numbers and better led levees not quite being able to conuter the Superior leadership of the Caladan armies. And like all precarious balances will be liable to fall; one way or the other, and soon.
(Caladan -10 000 Infantry, -1000 Cavalry -20 000 Levee's, Karsa -20 000 Infantry, -5000 levee's)
(-4 stability Karsa)
