Keldath addons

axil and the rest,

here is the currect order of install - i will make it simpler once i know the game runs smoothley.

1. install kelgir mod -full version

2. install patch 2- wr only

3. install patch on page 16 - choose one - either missiles or only sevo
and overwrite the kelgir files.

4. make sure that troy isnt included in the game you play
thats it.

if you've done this - and theres a ctd....baboom..ill have work to do.
 
I installed Keldath from scratch after he released patch 2...
so,
1)Keldath WR
2)Patch 2
3)Missile patch

Im now going to debug mode..force all kind of battles manually controlling both armies..so i can test everything again..what you said with the fortified..ok..will test it NOW! :)

Axil, could you also tell me, WHAT UNIT is defending against your swordsman that caused the CTD`?

try to test those reports on city capturing with swordsman.

i treid to load the saves in my cpu,

but it wont load - its gives an error that i got while trying to load saves from previous version,

so the guys who had ctd,

you must've installed it incurrectly.

ill do some more tests to be sure.

but notice this, the saves are incompatible with my version - thus - you missintalled the patches.
 
Mr Genie - If you load up the save game I posted the combat should be just about set up - I think Bismarck has standard archers at this point I'll load up my game and have a look.

Edit: he has 2 Archers and a hypa (with +15% bonus) - it doesn't seem to matter with unit the swordsman attacks out of those - catapults attacks work - Longbow (mohawks) attack work - the swordmen crash.

What I'll try is two fresh installation one with missiles patch one with sevo only and see if i can spot something
 
yeah, I'll try the savegame from you then..since i cheated me 20swordsman against 20different units of the USA(fortified and non fortified in boston) no CTD...funny :) normally i dont want a CTD to happen..now im trying as hard as possible to force a CTD hahaah
 
ok, now here's a wierd thing..when i load your savegame i have this bombard button at the catapult...
I get a CTD with your savegame

when i load my savegame, there is NO bombard button for the catapult...
I don't get a CTD with my savegame

assuming keldath only used the missiles thing from Dale...without bombard etc..it means...well.....
 
anyway..there is obviously a difference between your MOD INSTALLATION and my MOD INSTALLATION..they are not the same..obviously

second that!! i can load it..but with enabled DALE bombard button!! which is not in my savegame..i have classic combat for artillery, catapults etc etc

me too lazy to edit....

anyway - u tested the save of hall of brian - named alan save - (see page 17)
and its indeed ctd when attacking a city,
but - i will build a catapult to check for bombardment button.

im not sure why does it happen - a lot of people passed half a gme without a problem ... wierd.

Mr Genie - you have a bombard button ( dale's) ? - Interesting as all i have is the classic one - must be how I've installed as you say - will try a fresh one :)
 
I tested all the savegames..1 cannot load, the one from axil can load, but buttons are not right..
the alan save...im loading the save...but im waiting for 5minutes already to finish loading the game!! so something must be wrong with this one too.
so I believe the installations of the mods are corrupted...

as Dana Scully would say:"article X9849-273: case closed, no ghosts, no aliens, just wrong issues due to unknown installation problems" :)
 
finally..the alan game loaded :) took twice as long as to start the game from desktop but ok, it loaded...cheated me some catapults...
result: alan also installed the game wrong!!! wrong install of the mod!!
 
btw Keldath..alans crash is the same as axils crash!! and they both have the bomard buttons..either with the catapult, or the battering ram...cheat them and you'll see...cheat BOTH! of them to be sure..the button(wich should not be there) will show on either one or both of them.
 
and really..i tested over 40different units in my savegame!!! stack attack, catapults, melee, all kinds of upgrades i cheated...did all possible tactics on warfare...fortified, non fortified, etc etc..city open field..not 1 CTD...it must be the installation

not to mention the loading time!! my 1200kb savegames load in 30seconds..the alan savegame of 300kb takes 6 or 7 minutes!!!that can't be right
 
maybe that's why some people are reporting loading time of the mod of 30minutes and long savegame loading times...

so you say its due to installation prob?

cause i now loaded the two saves and indeed i hva e a ctd when attacking a city,
and i build a ram in alan savegame,
and i was able to bombard currectly.
but when attacking with the axeman - boom - ctd.

with the autosave game,
i also was able to bombard - no button when i moved away from city,
when tryied to attack a city with stack - boom ctd.
 
just re-installed the nod exactly as described - and bang CTD on melee attack on city - bombarding is fine exactly the old civ way - i wonder if somehow there still some Dale's mod stacking or combat determination code in there - perhap best thing is just a fresh original mod merge not including anything from Dales Mod at all - using Missile patch atm going to try install with sevo only
 
im sorry...but i cannot repeat the error you guys have in my savegame...and something is odd with the attack buttons..

In MY savegame:
BUILD batering ram = no bombard button
BUILD catapult = no bombard button
CHEATED batering ram = bombard button
CHEATED catapult = bombard button

in Axil savegame
BUILD batering ram= bombard button
BUILD catapult = bombard button
CHEATED batering ram = no bombard button
CHEATED catapult = no bombard button

in ALAns savegame
Build batering ram = bombard button
Build catapult=bombard button
cheated batering ram = bombard button
cheated catapult = no bombard button

...i have no idea why...but anyway..in my savegame(how i installed the mod)
nothing can make to crash the game..although its odd the button appears with the cheated units

anyway..there are differences upon loading the savegames..they are not the same..as test i started 2 new games at my pc...they all act 100% identically..so it's not a random issue with the buttons..somehow your
mod installations are not the same as mine..
 
yes..I'd say that too...take everything from dale out...since it's obviously this is causing the problem.

just ran the issue of alan savegame in my own savegame..constructed city, keshnik archers, axeman, hypatists..tried everything no CTD..im sorry..i dont know what is causing it..somehow i cannot force my comp to CTD :( maybe i did install something wrong, which actually fixed it?
