Kill hunt

It's not the Pact which is underestimated, it's the Ljosalfar which are overpowered!!! :P

Yes, the Ljosalfar have a huge infrastructure advantage, but I hardly needed it in this game. Moe conquered the map so easily that I had less than one combat unit per city

If I recall correctly, I started by building a worker and researching Ancient Chants - Education (for cottage spamming). A scout found Cartography in a goody hut, so I instantly started building the Pact of the Nilhorn, only interrupting for a Settler. I got my three giants at a point where my neighbours still had warriors - the first two civs fell quickly and I had practically won this game. One of the hill giants actually had 50 more experience (thanks to killing Orthus; the first hill giant was sacrificed to weaken him up) and a dozen more kills than Moe when I was attacking the second civ, but he was plagued after killing Typhoid Mary and I was still far away from getting the healing spell. He finally died, but Moe revenged him and got Orthus' Axe back.

I was kinda joking (even though I do see the Ljosalfar as overpowered).

You are going to make sureshot's head explode if you're gonna start an elves discussion in this thread :nuke:

All threads lead to Elves. It's what "Hidden Paths" really means.

 Heh, with their beginning production advantages, why not just block them from the Pact and give back siege engines? I've never thought that banning the elves from siege engines was a really good balance, anyway.

Man, I need to play as the Kuriotates sometime. Send Eurabatres on a killing rampage. Very "Good" of it, don't you think?

All threads lead to elves? Elves live in Rome?

When in lack of romans, do as the elves do.

No significant area of space can hold up its own weight if it lacks both romans and elves. It collapses into a singularity within 10 seconds of being vacated by both romans and elves. So it's not really an issue.

then romans and elves must be everywhere because i haven't seen any quantum fluctuations lately-maybe my house was built on an ancient elven burial ground???

Better yet, take two!

(From the game in my sig, in case you wanna see it. Abashi was taken by the first confessor built, the narrator. Eventually I got carried away and forgot to post what happened.)

i luvs adaptiveness... : O
raiders +hero promotion=pownering
this was on occ with raging barbs on noble, hoping to win a religious victory through runes of kilmorph and live with my good buddy
i destroyed the svaltfar very early and then marched branding over the vampires after they declared on the luchirup
huge amounts of xp from barbs-
couldn't get the axe of orthus anytime soon though, a hill giant trapped under city got it shuffled to him, while acheron spawned on top not long after.
branding and the other axeman weren't upgraded untill just recently, they marched through alexies territory as str 4 warriors.

you'll notice that theres no non combat units in there : O

The real contest would be who could get the most kills with Host of Einherjar ;)

It's easy, you just need a healer with him all the time... and, well, a stack of enemy units.
