I opened the save through Melifluous' instructions: darn program completely flipped out, but after some attempts, I got it open!

Shabba: I will add 'will be gone now' every time I mail a game and will be gone less than 30 minutes later. Equally, I will state 'will be here' if I expect to be present for a longer time


I will NOT be bale to play tonight (after say 8 pm) and all of tomorrow. Sunday morning I cna play, from 12 on I will be gone.

I just escaped from having my king unit die at the second turn. FYI: having your king on scout duty while not playing a expansionistic civ might not be a very good strategy...

@melifluous: do I have to load the game through the multiplayer screen every time? And is it normal that the program freaks out every time I try that?

btw, in the thread title 'shabba the killer' I meant shabba as a verb - whatever #to shabba someone' means it doesn#t sound as if the someone would feel good about it

meli: I remember that in one of the PBEMs you hosted I selected my tech the first turn and changed research rate. later, i was surprised to be prompted to select a tech to research and the rate was changed back.....

the same just happened here: I lost 2 full turns of research!

have you had this happen to you in any game?

The difficulty trick works. I checked it. When you set it on Deity the AI's build their second city somewhere at 3700BC!
