Kill the Shabba - Shabba the Killer?

I offered to introduce the French envoy to the Koreans, but the would only give me their WM for it. What a shabby offer!

Breaking news! Cleopatra bows down before Shabbaman!

Note that this information cost me 40 gold. But now you see what precious information a well organized intelligence information can provide. Of course North Korea is willing to provide strategic information to all it's allies. Our purpose is to raze all Japanese cities and to enslave to Japanese race, in our combined effort to blow our nose at the french.

Washington- American officials says that it the US Intelligence Agency has gathered information that the North Korean forces have assigned captured American civilians to 'slave duty'. The recent capture of Chicago has fed the believe that the so called 'Axis of Evil', a temporary alliance between the Ottoman Empire and the People's Republic of North Korea, has plans to force a 'regime change' in the United States.
When asked, American president Abe Lincoln has declared that he has no intention to resign.

Aerial reconaissance show proof of recent massacres near the city of Chicago. The picture also shows the movement of Iron Equipped Units within striking range of the American Capital. It is also rumored that the North Koreans possess an even stronger weapon, with increased movement and an even larger strike capability.

AP, Istanbul - Several regiments of Ottoman King's National Invincible Guard Horsemounted Troops ('KNIGHTS') are reported to have changed bases. Rumors are that at least 3 regiments have been rebased o the Japanese border, while eyewitnesses say troops are moving south.

Government officials deny connections to the US-NK situation. Also, a spokesman claimed there was no truth in the socalled 'French Wars' rumor, saying the contemporary cooling in relations doen't include any military action at all.

The givernment has not commented yet on the reports of French Swordsmen's bodied found near Ottoman towns on Ivory Island. Locals believe that a battle took place, but neither the city defenders nor the French manouver guests next to the city seem to move at all..

I'm beginning to have a bad feeling about this game. My territory is huge, and my cities are well developed. But I have no clue how I'm supposed to win this. I'm sure I can't build any wonders the coming turns, but I have to in order to toggle my Golden Age.

That sucks. I should have picked Arabia. The Arabs rule.

hmmmm... my UU is coming in the middle future, but my cities are underdeveloped... my strong point is culture, but I cannot play that with Shabba ahead in cathedral building....

a war between us seems inevitable, but how? WE would just grind each other down to no avail - too long a border for too few troops to cover (advisor says we're equal and I feel we prety much are, with Shabba having walls all over and me having the SunTzu advantage......)

Wow. Two Civ players both complaining they don't have the fighting edge.

So why not fight anyway? Someone has to win eventually. :mischief:

More maps please! :)

anarres: why take risks? Play on and build up........ but you do have a point....

the thing is: I don't want to eitehr win or lose because of the RNG. And we picked too weak an AI level....

IMO, RNG is a small factor when you have enough troops. Numbers will even out in the end.

You should fight, I want to see some real combat tactics here!

What is the current diplomatic status? Do you have an agreed peace treaty? I don't see one!

anarres: we don't have that many troops!

and really, what tactics can you see? we have a strong border of Shabba in his south, then tiny cities by me, then my core - but open terrain and fast supply for me and no roads for him. not a good avenue of attack for either.

On the other side, i can use the jungle as a blocking zone.....

Well, I can't really comment as the latest map I can see is post #147, from 250AD. It doesn't have a common border, and it doesn't show terrain.

It would be really nice to be able to see this up close. :)
