Do you believe there is a letter thief? Do you believe it's possible that MJ would lie about receiving one, and potentially lie about being literate? The literate claim was made pretty early on iirc and it could be a wolf attempting to get the letters in their possession not knowing what they did before I confirmed it. Also MJ seems to disappear in the face of questioning. Vote MJ.

I'm leaning towards exactly one of the remaining literate people is probably scum, but I'm not sure enough which is which to make the call. I am much more confident that Johanna is very likely scum. He jumped onto my wagon very quickly yesterday the moment it got moving, leading it to become a 5-3 runaway wagon before getting reined back in. He's been constantly pushing for me and Tim's lynchings but has never taken the time to actually present a full analysis and case, despite there being plenty of evidence on either of us to go around. He's just been causing chaos all game.

Also last caveat to people who say that letter thief would be a terrible role—the priest got killed n1. I don't think there'd be a whole literacy mechanic for just one role and if anyone else had a literacy-related power it'd probably be the priest. It could be that the role was meant to balance a power that got killed off n1.

I think we did pretty good yesterday. The first two were terrible, admittedly enough.

IIRC it was a combination of the fact that I stepped in to claim the letter writer since the town probably would have destroyed itself over the role, and that I tried to write you the first letter on the off-chance you were literate because I read you as town D1, and GK confirmed the letter read what I said it would read. Being that the letter was already written as it was, if I had not spoken up and he had read it aloud to the town, it would have confirmed me as town anyways. If I was a wolf I would not have written the letter in that way, and I definitely wouldn't have claimed it. This role has way more useful potential to wolves, and if you look at it as a wolf role you'd have to assume I was the worst wolf in the world to play it the way I have.

To clarify, the first letter read "If you are loyal to Wenceslaus, you will protect me (GamezRule)." A wolf would have used that power to frame an innocent player as a wolf and send it to a town literate once identified.

From the way things have been going on all three of Marcher Jovian, Timsup2nothin and Golden1Knight being innocent townsfolk is very unlikely.

Maybe a third wolf stole your letter, but I never announced that I would send a new letter to you, and yet they decide to try to steal from you again? And you cant explain that, because you would have done it already if you could. Thats just a really ultra big question mark. To add up to that we have the at least one literate mafia theory, so your situation is a little complicated right now.

I'd like to point out that GamezRule had already revealed that he can't send letters to the same person twice, so you were the only other person with a letter and it was pretty obvious who you'd most likely send it to. It wouldn't exactly have been a hard guess. It would also basically guarantee me getting stringed up, so it makes pretty clear sense from my perspective why they'd do it.

Assuming there is a thief, that would be a possibility. But how can we know? If they were trying to frame you, they did it very well.

Me x MJ would be a good wagon, good chances of being a t/w, surely not w/w however.
