The game isn't out yet, but it looks really good. Go see for yourself at GameSpot.com. The graphics are nice. Plus got nice units. The game is coming from Europe, so who ever lives in Europe should see the game at you local Wal - Mart..:D (If you have a Wal - Mart).

The game was suppose to come April 18th or 19th..but it got postponed for May 10th. They said they want the game more spread out in stores so more people can buy it..

Now I have to wait a little over a month.. :(

Oh, well but it looks good!!

Anybody have it if your from Europe?? Is it good??

It looks good, but I'll wait for a review of it to go furthur than that. Screenshots and videos can't really tell much except playing like a demo. But it looks cool.

EDIT: I didn't see the demo, but I'll play that.

EDIT: You have to create an account here but not at http://www.knights-of-honor.net/jump.php?go=en|5|downloads%2Fdemo.php

EDIT: Bah! After an hour or so of downloading and then unzipping it, I get some dumb error about antivirus program or something. Don't count on this demo...

I would play the demo if I could..but on this putt putt 56k modem, it would take me....

12 HOURS!!!!

I think I'll wait until the game comes out...:D

I played the demo and it is very fun. You cant save and that sucks, but I'm playing it on my laptop and I just hibernate it and then turn it on and keep playing. I cant play any other games at the same time without major slowdown but this is fun. I'm playing as Scotland and have alliences with almost everyone except ingland who I'm at war with. And Im earning about 200 gold per turn/or period or whatever. You have to get a very lucky start, but its real fun. Cant wait for it to come out.

Is the game more like Civ, or AoE?

well its got ellements of both and lots of other games like Lord of the Realms, Rise of Nations, and lots of others. Its got a steep learning curve though. My suggestions, keep trying until you get a favourable start, Make trade aggreements with everyone, get lots of merchants and trade. You can get upt to about 200 gold a turn if you do this. and then just play as you like.

A lot of it is getting a good start but the demo lets you only start out as Scotland (which in my opinion is worse because you are secluded and the limited number of countries near you dont always ally with you or allow trade for that matter) or Bohemia (which has many more countries near you to ally, trade, or attack. The problem is that you start out small with either of these areas (they only have 2 provinces to begin because the demo only allow these 2) and basically anyone you attack is much stronger than you. Just go through the tutorial, play the addictive game, make merchants and trade with the bigwigs, and enjoy AMAP until the real game comes out (May 10th) when you will have a bizillion more options (99.9% more countries than the demo, cleric and spy, and more options altogether).

To be simple, if you like medieval games and are willing to learn the jist of it, you are in for a lot of fun with Knights of Honor.

And it's probably closest to Rise of Nations, but don't expect it to be the same just somewhat similar (basically much more options and things to do than AOE2)

Thanks guys for a more in depth view. I would download the Demo, but slow connection.

You guys planning on buying it??

yeah I'm buying it! The demo countries stink, but I can tell it will be fun. Theres so many diplomacy and espionage options. It promises to be great.

Well I started over, with Scotland I currently have 4 provinces, England ceases to exist, Wales will soon. I'm raking in the cash, I'm getting 250 gold a turn and at one point I was getting 320. I have 2 powerful armies and 1 decent one. One of my towns is prettymuch an impenetrable fortress. But yeah it would be cool to start as one of the big countries.

Yea I probably will buy it because it is close to its release. If I knew about it back in September when the demo came out it would be long gone but since it's less than a month til releasing yea I probably will get it one way or another.

Don't be confused by how it sounds like Age of Empires. It is similar but don't expect a two-three hour game. To finish it will probably take a day and its website says an average game is 20-25 hours so when you start and are nowhere near what someone brags about, realize that they are probably hours into it. But the demo version can't save, so the best bet is to just pause it and hibernate your computer when turning it off.

Do you think the multiplayer option will be good? It looks pretty good...Its 6 players..usually there are 8 but hey if the demo is good then the game must be good...

Well for multiplayer you cant play on Europe like in single player but thats because it lasts 20-25 hours but some people would still play, they play then save then continue, there are different types of battles, like open battlefeild, historical battle, a tower mode, river crossing, and town assault. its fun but not as much as play on Europe mode.

Well it looks like you can Lord Draegon but since there are no options under the category that might be the big multiplayer campaign you can't be sure.

I'm Bohemia, and I'm making 100+ GPT

6 provinces, Germany is my vassal, and I have 3 armies. It's a fun game. 3rd most powerful at one point. Now I'm 6th

It's a kind of a nice game, though I can't really appriciate it, having played Rome: Total War.

Well apparently you can only play for a limited time. It was gooing great 700 gpt 6 provinces, conquering 7th. and then the game retire's me. I ended up being the 3rd most powerful nation. cant wait for full game.

I was just about to post that to see if that happened to anyone else. I was Scotland, and ended up 2nd most powerful.

Got to love Scotland conquering England. :p

Chance of Zarn getting game: 99%
