Kyp's GMR Game (open sign ups)

Hardly. Speaking from experience, E will do anything to protect his investments when in paranoia mode.

Yeah i hate when he enter this mode :lol: It's like playing deity and raging barbs :mischief:

Now I feel more peaceful lately as Onan's maternality (maternalism) must affect me;)

If you guys need my mothering to show you that the game has more potential when played with nuances beyond the simplistic gamey-ness of always going for the most logical path to victory, then so be it. Pucker up.

:love::whipped::queen:

It seems no one offered anything? :confused:
Askia didn't have a chance to offer a peace treaty. We will do it as soon as it's Songhai's turn.

Edit: the peace treaty proposal was sent to Catherine.
Songhai has been developing its rich coal deposits. Askia can sell the resource for 1 piece of gold per item. Just send a trade agreement.

I have PMed Onan and wrote that we need a sub for China. So he will soon send invitations to other players.
Please don't try to take advantage of China AI meanwhile :)

@Tabarnak:

Darius, why have you rejected Askia's offer of scientific agreement?
In Askia's opinion Porcelain Tower of Songhai is balanced with the fact that Persia leads overall in the science area. But if you think that the offer is unfair, Askia can add 50 pieces of gold from his side.

I needed gold at that turn. My stack is now too low. Maybe later.

Catherine can't see the benefit of RA either.

@EEE_BOY
Catherine, cultural borders of Russia and Songhai are shared closely near Third City of Songhai and Memphis of Russia. Askia proposes to establish there some kind of demilitarization zone for both parties. It will help to avoid a potential tension on the shared border between our countries.

Supposed demilitarization zone covers the area confined by the red line. Only two defensive military units (non-ranged 2MP units) will be permitted to be stationed within the demilitarization zone. We also can agree that no more roads and railroads will be built in this area in order to advance in the direction of the neighbour's boundary.

@all
Askia has also noticed that Persia made a significant leap in the scientific area this turn. The persians are the first to enter Modern Era. It seems that Darius rush built a research lab in the most populated persian city.

Askia, your proposal sounds familiar to us. and why would Russians agree this time?

It will prove that Catherine doesn't intend to invade tha lands of Songhai in the near future.
Otherwise if you make Songhai to increase its military power, then Askia will try to find opportunity to use its on someone... ;)

Askia, it's not a pleasure to do business with you. AI would offer more for my luxury.:blush:

Catherine felt insulted so her traders would not dare to risk their lives for a few pennies.
I bought luxury resources two times in my other hotseat game for the mentioned price. But the speed of the game was epic rather than quick. Maybe on quick speed I should offer more gold? :)

What AI would offer:
Standard speed 240g or 7gpt for 30turns and 20g (about 8 gpt)
Quick speed 200g so should be 8gpt for 25 turns at least.

Consider the history of distrust, AI will certain ask for more.

I think that the above mentioned price (8 gpt for a lux) is reasonable only if the purchaser civ has reached its happiness limit (that is it's happiness is around zero), and it is currently not able to build happiness buildings or doesn't have other opportunities to increase happiness within 10 turns to meet the happiness requirement of growing population. The second case can be that if the purchaser civ is already unhappy, and obtaining the lux is vital for small growing cities.

In order to gain 4 happiness, Songhai needs to build a circus (75 hammers in standard speed, 0 gpt maintenance) and a colosseum (100 hammers in standard speed, 1 gpt maintenance) OR 2 colosseums (200 hammers in standard speed, 2 gpt maintenance). Do you really think that it would be better for Songhai to pay 8 gpt to Russia, its rival and former adversary (which can use this gold to upgrade units and then attack Songhai) rather than build and maintain these happiness buildings?

@Tabarnak
WARNING to Persia
Darius, our scouts have discovered a piece of the persian artillery lurking in the wilderness near the border of Songhai.
Persia and Songhai have long term history of good neighborly relations. We are also trade partners.
However, Askia will be forced to order an attack on your artillery, if it comes closer to Songhai boundary.
We also inform you that our frigates travelling near persian coastline are due to the island songhai colonies in the south. They don't intend to make any harm on Persia.

hammer for units or happiness buildings or science buildings. the opportunity costs are certainly greater than the mere 4 gold per turn.
