Here again they mess up the pronunciation by being too modern.

Edit: Should note that their translation is a lot "better" while mine is more literal. 'Varnarlaus' can mean either defenseless or unprotected but 'laus' is cognate with 'less' so I went with that. Also Haraldr doesn't use the plural when he refers to the sea and while 'your seas are' sounds more natural in English than 'your sea is' I went with the literal translation. 'Árás' is a pretty general word like 'attack' so that's what I used even if he's presumably referring to a raid here. Finally 'all too easy to raid' is more natural than 'an attack would be an easy task' but that's what he says in the ON.

I'm not sure about the word "infrutífero" when Pedro II is attacked, and when he disapproves the video cuts off before he actually finishes his line, so those can still be changed.
As for Defeat, the video has no sound from the game, so I can't hear what he says, but a translation from the text to Portuguese would be "Que Deus me conceda estes últimos desejos - paz e prosperidade para o Brasil". If anyone finds another video where Brazil is Defeated, I will happily check what he says!

Overall, I like how this game's translations are much closer to what was used in Civilization V, but there are still a few details that change a bit.
Pedro's Attacked line is a bit weird to me, it's a weird phrase - but maybe that's because I'm from Portugal. It's possible that that sentance structure makes more sense in Brazilian Portuguese than in European Portuguese!

Compare the cultural/spiritual/military input into the annals of Earth's civilization of Babylon/Persia/Mongolia and many other civilizations missing in Civ VI (Vanilla) as compared to Brazil/Brasil. Unfortunately, it's not even close!

Thank you so much for posting these! Here is the Latin (I've studied Latin for many years). Unfortunately, Firaxis made several clear mistakes.

Greeting: Ave, viator. Augustae Romae Imperator Caesar Traianus sum. Quis es? Quae terra patria vocas? [Quae terra patria is in the wrong case. As the direct object of vocas, it should be accusative, quam terram patriam.]
Literal translation: Hail, traveler. I am the emperor Trajan of venerable [Augustae means "venerable" or "revered," not "far-reaching"] Rome. Who are you? What land do you call fatherland?

Agenda-based approval: Simile Iovis caelesti regno imperium tui late patet. Optime.
Literal translation: Your empire spreads widely, just like the heavenly kingdom of Jupiter. Well done.

Agenda-based disapproval: Ditissimas tui regni regiones diripendas hostibus davisti. Num propagatio audio te terret? [This is a mess. He must mean diripiendas ("to be despoiled" or "to be seized"), not diripendas, which is not a Latin word. Davisti is not a Latin word either; he surely means dedisti. That's a very elementary mistake. I think he says audio, which grammatically is not properly integrated into the rest of the sentence. If he said ut audio that would be OK. Maybe I'm mishearing him? Also, a Roman would be much more likely to say propagatio finium, "expansion of borders," than to use propagatio abstractly like this. But that's a nitpick.]
Literal translation: You have given over the richest areas of your kingdom to your enemies to be despoiled. Do I really hear that expansion terrifies you?

Attacked: Insolentia ad mortem te ducet. A nulla vi Roma vinci potest.
Literal translation: Your insolence will lead you to death. Rome is able to be defeated by no force.

Declares war: Alea iacta est.
Literal translation: The die is cast. (i.e., I've committed to this venture, there's no turning back, now it's in the hands of fate. This is what Julius Caesar said when crossing the Rubicon, according to Plutarch--though Caesar is supposed to have said it in Greek.)

Note: the verb dare, meaning "to give," is irregular in that most verbs with infinitive endings in "are" have the second person perfect ending "avisti." If dare followed the regular pattern, "davisti" would be correct. But it does not.

My Japanese is very rusty, but I think I heard Hojo using 我 (Ware) to present himself which is an archaic form of “I”, also his way to say “Hello” is unknown to me so he probably doesn’t speak modern Japanese and like the other leaders speaks a more ancient version.

As something of a Japanese speaker, I can comment on Tokimune's lines.

First, he does use 'ware', which is an older form of 'I'. Unfortunately, just like Oda in CiV, their lines sound more like something out of a Kurosawa film than anything historical. I say this is unfortunate because Classical Japanese is... not well known at this point, to say the least. (I recall being taught that Japanese has changed more in the last 100 years--mainly because of WWII--than Modern English has changed from Old English.)

The first part of his greeting is 'ikaga aru' and then the rest of that line is lost. 'ikaga' is a polite form of 'how' ... I hope they didn't transliterate 'how are you' but they may have. He then says 'ware wa nihonkoku no bushido no sinkousya, Houzyou Tokimune'. That can be translated (I believe) as 'I am a follower of the Way of the Warrior (bushido) of the Japanese state/country, Hojo Tokimune.'

I hate to say this, though, but I don't know who they got to say this. He seems to have a questionable pronunciation of his own name. 'Tokimune' should have no stress on any of the morae, but it's pronounced in iambic meter in the dialogue, which is a very common mistake for people speaking Japanese whose native language relies on that meter (like, say, English). I'll try to listen to the other lines and see what is being said.

Edit: His lines when he gets attacked is very close to the translation. The first line is identical.
