While I wanted to give you happy happy praise for finally getting it done... There is a MAJOR bug.:crazyeye:

If you can private message me your email I will send you my save game to show it to you.

I can't send you a pm, since apparently you've chosen to not recieve any. Anyway, you should just attach your savegame to a post, like other players did, it'll be more convenient.

Oh, and Darkphoenix, look at the list and make sure you can't keep building the thing? I ran into a similar problem, with two copper mines on my road network I would occasionally get a 'Berlin cannot continue work on Bronze Smith' message, happened least 3 times before being built. The smith was still on the list of things I could change production to so no time was lost. That was the first smith, the second was in Hamburg and the production halt message happened fewer times. Think the shortages went away after the second smith was built but got aggravated at the game with how many unhappy citizens I was dealing with, and decided to go see if I could do better with Shorty. Err... Napoleon.

The "copper shortage" isn't really bothering me, but what is cuasing the problem is. Resources are not connecting to the game. I can't build anything that requires resources, period. I just tried building a JEWELER, and it wouldn't let me.

Ah, sorry, guys. The other forums I go on don't let files more than 400kb be attatched!

Here it is:

I must say, I can't reproduce what you're telling with your save. All the resources there function properly. The only thing that is really there is the deactivation message spam, but it does nothing to the buildings.

I advise you to clean the game's cache - this could be the reason for this weird bug you're reporting, since nothing in the save is causing it (because I'm comfortably building jewelers and imperial legions when loading it).

Ugh. It's on my end? Thanks though for trying it.

(Sorry for being so cranky. I really like this game, but I have never been able to finish a single TRM game on earth map. And so I was a little miffed when the moment my vast legions were poised to strike at spain, france, and carthage and bring the word of Yaweh to their heathen hearts, a bunch of ASBs removed the ability of my empire to make any good units...)

I reloaded my save game several times thinking it was just a weird bug that was popping up from playing 9 hours straight. :mischief:

Ummm. Where's my cache? : I don't know where it is. :crazyeye:

(PS- what IS casuing that spam message? Is it because I have Iron Working copper isn't needed?)

Other than that, the military buildings not requiring gold is nice. The civics look very balanced, and the pyramid is no longer the god wonder. The units look really good, the French look... good... almost too good... like someone on the team is French or something and has ulterior motives for making them look good ;).

I also noticed there is a bug thread right below this one which I somehow missed. /me fails for trying to play TRM at 7am. Am I up early? or really late? YOU DECIDE! :D

You can find the cache in "Documents and Settings/Your Username/Application Data/My Games/Warlords/"

The spam message is a genuine bug with unknown reasons, but without any real destructive conseqences. We'll fix it eventually.

It is me who is responsible for how everyone looks, so I thank you for the praise, and gladly admit that I have a strong ulterior motive to make every civ look as good as I can get it to. :D

*Cough* Is that vista? I have XP

I guess what I mean is, I go to my documents/my games/TBS/Civ/4/Warlords

And all I see is a bunch of .dll s, and these folders: Assets, CVGameCoredel, log, Mods, Public Maps, Resource, Shaders.

Then all the cvi4 shortcuts.

And a few other assorted file types.

What is my "Cache"? I guess it is one of these file or folders... But which one?

It is written for XP (I never worked with Vista yet). "Documents and Settings" folder should normally be located on your system drive (most likely, its path will be C:\Documents and Settings).

*bangs head on wall for being an idiot and misreading your last post*

Thanks found it... though they all were showing up as windows media player files... Not what I would expect. Was expecting some weird file or a text file.

THANKS, I am going to reload my game now. :goodjob:

EDIT: Didn't work. Stil can't build anything that require resources. Obviousl something has gone wrong very badly. I will try playing an entiely new game on a random map, and if problem still persits, I will reinstall game.

I also have buggy resources : I'm periodically said I can't build bronze smith, I have the popup asking me what building I want to build and, even stranger, I can select the BS with no production lost.
The big problem is I had a crash when ending a bronze smith. (not sur what caused it really, only a suppositon about bronze smith,i'm sure it wasn't a MAF)

Have you applied the fixed dll? http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=6838363&postcount=643

No, but I will and sorry for posting in the wrong thread. Great many lots of thanks.

Any plans for a Mac version?

Just to clarify what Walter said. It is impossible because this mod uses a custom .ddl file. At this time there is no way for a modder to translate this custom dll file into something that can be understood on the Mac. At one time Aspyr it was rumored that Aspyr would publish something to allow this translation, but it never happened.

Personally, I wish it was different. I have a Mac and would love to run Civ IV natively instead of using BootCamp. I think this would solve some of the MAF errors I get with larger maps. However, in addition to the modding problem, BTS has not been released for the Mac and it is unlikely to be released. From the comments I have read in the Mac forums it seems as if Aspyr has abandoned the game for the Mac.

BIG BUMP. :goodjob::king::goodjob: FOR WARLORDS. :D

As no post has been made here : maybe the TR team have forgotten about this Thread.

An updated ***.dll file which cures the converter buildings - shortages messages/loss of building units, has been posted and it seems to work.:cool:

Go to the Civ4Modpacks/Warlords/Total Realism 2.3a thread to get it.

It is a BETA version - for testing purposes, not a final re;lease.

But go get it.

AND big tnanks to Trojansheep for all the good effort. :thanx:

Is this BTS compatable? And if not, why not and when will it be?

Come on ! make BTS version as BTS is much faster then warlords .
The best mod and 100 % replayable, other mods suck hard (except WW 2 1939 )
