I don't know is someone has already posted this.
Ambiorix was the co-ruler of the Evrones people of northeastern Galia, which is what is now Belgium. In the winter of 54/53 BC, he revolted against the occupation forces of Julius Caesar, a Roman politician and Gallia conqueror. Its real name is not recorded, but the title "Ambiolix" which means "king of all orientations" is also known today.
With the ability of the King of Evrones, Ambiorix civilizations train non-civilian units and gain cultural power according to the cost of that unit. In addition, the combat power of melee combat, vs. cavalry, and long-range combat units will be added for each adjacent battle unit.

UNIQUE UNIT - GAESATAE
The cost of training the elite units of Ambiorix is higher than that of a warrior, but combat power is added when fighting against stronger enemies and areas.
SPECIFIC AREAS - OPPIDUM
Oppidum is an area that is cheaper and can be built earlier than industrial areas. When completed, the "apprentice system" technology will be released. It is able to defend, performs its own long-range attacks, and receives a large amount of adjacent bonuses from quarrys and strategic resources.

If that's true, it could be interesting. Reverse Gorgo: gaining culture not by killing unit by producing them. Not gamechanger, would I say, but a military leader of the Gauls is bound to have military bonuses.

Wow! What's the link to the web page?

And from what I can gather from the rough translations are:

Ambroix gets culture from training miltary units (Like Alexander's building gives science for completed military units) and melee units get combat strength from each adjacent enemy cavalry or range/seige unit?

His unique warrior unit gets a combat bonus against stronger enemies (sounds like Civ5 Mehal Safari)

The unique industrial zone is unlocked earlier then usual and gets more production from quarries and strategic resources. It's range attack comes from the Apprenticeship technology.

And remember that mines (at least) over resources should give bonus culture and trigger a culture bomb.

That is some big whoops energy ... oh well

Oops!

A turtle Civ with a culture focus, and the unique district certainly sounds powerful. Definitely more my playstyle than Byzantium. Somehow not that exciting though?

An oppidum is usually built on a hill, it would make sense since it has a defensive feature.
Will it unlock with iron working ? Earlier ?

I don't see anything about a "mine on ressources do a culture bomb" ?

There's no info on the Gallic ability. The text implies implies that the Gaesetae is Ambiorix's UU tied to his ability, as opposed to the Gallic UU. We could be looking at another Civ with 2 Unique Units here.

Overall a fairly neat set of bonuses with some synergies (Gaesetae are expensive warriors; Ambiorix provides culture from producing units tied on their inherent costs, early IZ with bonus adjacency provides some extra early game production). Can't wait to see the full list of bonii.

Definitely seems a strong defensive civ, also much more balanced than Byzantium which looks just insane

Each adjacent combat unit... meaning a Gallic wedge with Gaesatae in front flanked behind with 2 spears. I like it. Shame they do not ignore forest
And it may seem mild in comparison to post Roman might but I have hopes for the cultural side

I generally don't love the idea of a more expensive Warrior - for me to be spending extra production on early units they have to be something as special as the War-Cart or Eagle Warrior - but we don't know the actual CUA yet. Mines over resources giving culture bombs seems likely, but might not be the whole story. If there's a passive production bonus, that could become insane pretty quickly, but NFP civs are crazy strong, so that might not be surprising. If nothing else, Ambiorix looks likely to have a very strong early game, but one stuffed full of tough decisions in the production queue.

Depending on how good the Gaesetae bonus is against higher tech units, you may not be in that much of a hurry to upgrade them all to Swordsmen, ironically forestalling Ironworking, which is probably the tech that unlocks the Opidum.

I'm not sure. Looking them up the Gaesetae lived near the Alps next to the Rhone river. It wouldn't make sense.

Also according to the Greek historian Polybius is was the Gaesatae who fought at the front and went into battle "naked". The name comes from "armed with javelins".
Well at least they won't be completely naked in game.
