I've already said why, and I don't like repeating myself so I'm only going to do it once: it's disgusting, because private stuff like sexuality belongs behind closed doors, no one wants to see two crater faced teenagers trying to swallow each others' tongues, keep that stuff in private. I don't care what people do in private, I care what they do in public, and that belongs out of sight.

And no, I do not currently have a girlfriend, but it would be safe to wager that I've had more girlfriends/sex than every other CFC member combined.

i don't want to see fat people. i hate looking at them. do i care i fat people go out in public? (depends on what they're wearing)

and @ compensation for not having a GF. surely you can find a comrade...er...companion out there who you'd be so into that you'd love to kiss her in public. unless of course you've got hints of jealousy of these kids...idk, i'm not going to say it. just putting it all out there.

besides, it's just a phase for teens and they'll grow out of it.

I was on the bus the other day and there were two little old ladies across from me. A kid, about 18 or so, got on the bus, he was talking to the bus driver and said something about old people. They started giving him crap for that telling him that he was going to be old before he knew it. Then one of them said to him "You should live fast while you can" and the other one nodded.

And they are right. There is nothing wrong with teenagers acting like teenagers. I worry about the ones who are too serious. You only live once, enjoy it.

I assume with 'no one' you mean yourself, right? I don't care if others kiss themselves in public. If I want to kiss my girlfriend you can be damned sure that I'm gonna do it, whether you like it or not Look the other way if you don't like it, it's not that hard

The youth of today aren't aware that there are other people in public spaces. Indeed, the word 'public' means nothing to them. So, basically, the brain of the youth has two choices: a) grope girlfriend, or b) politeness/decency. "What is 'politeness'?" they ask; "I want to 'get in there'." Teenagers are basically bonobos without personal hygiene.

Okay, what are your feelings on Public Display of Mindless Affection? I find it repugnant. I was in line at the mall today to get lunch, and directly in front of me were two moronic teens (I assume) who couldn't seem to stop eating each others faces long enough to place an order, holding the rest of the line up.

In general, I can't for the life of me understand why some people cannot seem to keep things that belong in private behind closed doors. What's the need to french freedom kiss and grope each other in public? Don't people have any shame anymore? No one wants to see it, take it somewhere else, preferably to prison where they can learn why it's bad through empirical observation.

Public displays of affection, for the most part, should be restrained. A modest kiss -- a peck on the cheek, forehead, or lips -- is acceptable, but intense displays are discourteous to those around you and attract attention something awful. It has become more acceptable to society, in general, but it is no less rude. Of course, sometimes a passionate kiss is necessary, such as the last kiss when a soldier or sailor is leaving and he is saying goodbye to his wife at the airport or seaport. Sometimes you have to kiss someone passionately in order to make a statement, whether in public or not. However, for the most part, when it is done in public, it is not for those kinds of reasons.

I think that people who suck face in public have a need to show society that they are so cool because they have a woman, sort of like the guy who always insists on bragging about the women he's slept with, as if that makes him "cooler" or "more manly" bceause people know about it.

This is different, of course, from the "goodbye" kiss or the "Oh God I've missed you," especially the latter, as it's more of a spontaneous thing. So I've no problem with simple PDA, but PDMA, as Pasi so humorously coined (love it BTW), is as inconsiderate as scratching your sack or picking your nose in the checkout line.
