When you appoint your own successor (a man you made rich practically overnight by giving him control of a huge Russian oil company), and retain the position of Prime Minister, it's pretty clear that you have a desire to maintain power, lol.

Well I must counter your argument here. Sure Putin appointed him, but the reason he could do that was that the russian people supported it. It wasn't exactly a secret. Everyone in russia knows he was appointed by Putin and most voted for him, simply because they couldn't vote for Putin anymore but wanted a continuation of his policies. Simple and democratic

On the other hand, if the people is unsatisfied with the leadership election after election no matter what they vote, it isn't a perfect democracy is it? Come on, give Putin a chance, he's Berezovsky/Litvinenko/Right-wing government propaganda target. The press situation has definately gotten better since the oligarch 90's.

He looks a lot like Putin, but very messy (no offense intended). His suit looks like a blob and his face has no shadows, and I could swear I see some holes in his head. Shaders would fix a lot of that and a better skin too.
