Not quite the usual Firaxis quality though. IMO he reaches too much forward when angry, making his head too big. Also, ancient flic clothes act dodgy and the fur hat makes the reaching forward problem worse.

But very nice to see him anyways. Concept is better than with Mao. :)

Yes, you are right about the cloth in ancient era. The neck appears very abruptly. Was probably a quick job for the localization but quite good IMHO nevertheless.

BTW nice jobs on our leadeheads, Drift.
Thinking of doing Napoleon after Samwise  ;) ?

Hmmm. Requires lots of props... I don't think I'm up to it yet. Maybe you should try Unexisted?

Napoleon would be a fun leaderhead to do, but I would need to gather some experience before trying it. (sounds like role playing - napoleon has exp requirement of 60 and you only have 20! You can't make him!)

I had to try several times before it connected. Keep trying. :) It's 18 megs so it would require an ok from Thunderfall.

I can't get it to download either. Oh well, maybe later. I saw a preview on page 3 of that thread. They look alright.

I'll ask Thunderfall if he wants the files at CFC.

I am sorry, a question has happened in the homepage space. Could you help to change to download here?
Or try it later please!

The head in the game is really a little bit ugly, like the treacherous court official in Beijing Opera. I think this is one of the reasons why official side's Chinese edition does not use it.

I like LiShimin.

Could you please translate what you said into English?:)

The files are a mess. I'll try to stitch something usable out of them, but when some animations have 171 frames and some 34, it's not going to look very pretty. Don't expect "Firaxis quality".

I don't understand how Firaxis lets something like this out of their hands.

In fact the number of frames are irrelevant. It is only a convention to use 121. Actually several times I was thinking of switching to 61, to make files much smaller and still retain quality. Of course if it is way too small, it becomes noticeable (haven't checked LiShimin with 34, though heads with 61 were good).
I know that LiShimin isn't perfect - perspective is too big, so his head looks funny in angry position, then his moods aren't very distinctive (I was thinking of changing advisor.pcx using flics which have different head positions). However, it's still high quality, and I'll use him both in WH-Mod and other games.

I was suspecting the frame number didn't matter, thanks for the confirmation. :) But how does a leaderhead work when forward animation is 34 frames and backward 171? Or vice versa. Only Modern Li Shimin has equal number of frames in both anims (120).

I haven't tested them with the original setting as it seemed so clearly wrong that I couldn't believe it would work. Does it? Or maybe I shoudl go check it out myself.

After testing, it looks that different number of frames work but flicker. It's easy to fix it though. PCX's had transparency problems, I just fixed them and made a different advisor heads that show more distinct moods. I will equal the number of frames (probably both to 34) and slow it down, and then could post that full fixed version on CFC, though Thunderfall must approve it.

Actually it had much more problems... all animations had incorrect speed settings and frame count, so they flicked/jumped + all pcx had transparency problems. The full fixed leaderhead is uploaded, it should be available today or tomorrow.
