Message from George III, by the Grace of God, King of Great Britain, France and Ireland, Defender of the Faith, etc. and Elector of Hannover.
News from the fronts:
Turin Falls!
Our brave troops in the south of
France overcame stiff opposition from determined defenders to liberate Turin. We know the residents of Turin will share our exitement at the chance to live under the rule of a Monarch again. Two units of Imperial Guard were defeated, as well as a unit of Voltgier. One unit of Household Cavalry were unfortunately taken out of action, but they can enjoy the Med climate while they recover.
There is however even better news from France.
Paris overrun!
Yes, groups of British troops successfully executed a pincer movement and attached Paris from the North and South. In what could well be the largest concentrated bombardment in history, large swathes of Paris were reduced to rubble. British troops then marched in knocking out two units of Imperial Guard, and two units of Voltgiers.
France is reeling after the fall of their capital, and as of yet, Napoleon's location is unknown. Further, France is now literally splilt in two, not just politically, but now geographically.
There is good news too from Spain.
Cartagena taken!
The Spanish city of Cartagena has fallen to British troops. The city, which sits on the South coast was taken easily. The three units of Soldido's did not put up too much resistance after being decimated with grapeshot.
Also in news on the Spanish front, a Spanish transport was sunk off the coast of Brest, and four units of Spanish cavalry who were mounting a counter attack to retake Medina, were also destroyed.
God Save the King!
