Light In The East: Civs Of The Orient(And Beyond)

I see:

-Umayyad Caliphate
-Kanem Bornu
-Khedivate of Egypt
-Volga Bulgars
-Crimean Khanate
-Golden Horde?
-Bukhara
-Vijayanagar
-Svirijava
-Adal
-Arjuuaan?
-Mogadishu?
-Ceylon
-Punjab/Sikh Empire
-Dehli/Gaznavid Sultanate?
-Modern Turkey
-Ottomans? Is that a redo of the current civ maybe?
-Bosnia?
-Yemen?

Its really difficult to work out where one civ ends and another begins...

How many are there in total?

Well this is very exciting...I've been thinking about a Adal/Mogadishu/some form of Somalia.

I kind of see the Ilkhanate, hard to tell in Anatolia. Could Just be the borders of the Umayyad, possibly also Rum. Also Fatimids?

Also, I want to see how many are guessed right:
Spoiler :

I think there's gonna be at least one caliphate civ. I remember stating I was designing a caliphate split on JFD's thread ages ago. If you are making that, I guess my designs are useless, then. Huh, so much for cronic procastination. :(

EDIT: Post 200! Woo!

Ayyubids, ummayed caliphate,malaca\Singapura,golden horde, duchy of Moscow,Yuan, Aden.
Could you please post a map with the boundaries filled in with color?

Well where's the challenge in that?

Okay here are the only few I'm pretty much 100% sure of right now..

Golden Horde
Crimean Horde
Volga Bulgars
Umayyad Caliphate
Khedivate of Egypt
Punjab/Sikh Empire
Svirijaya
Arjuaan
Mogadishu
Kanem Bornu
An Alternate Persia, Sassanid, I think

Are they right? If so I can have a guess at the rest

I know there's a Srivijaya because we've talked about it before, I want there to be a Khedivate of Egypt and a Sri Lanka, I'm not sure about the placement but I think an Oman might be on the cards, there could be an Aksum, Kanem Bornu for definite, one of the early caliphates (Abbasids?), there's almost certainly a distinct Al-Andalus Civ, and, er... that's it. Dumbgrace is dumb. =]

If it were the Abbassids, the map wouldn't make sense. Abbassid control never went as far west as Morocco. (Well, nominally I think the Almoravids did swear loyalty to the Abbassids but by this point the actual Abbassids didn't hold anything outside of Bagdhad so the map would still be wrong.) The most logical Caliphate for the map is the Ummayyads, who did control that much of Spain.

Which would mean no Caliphate of Cordoba civ, as the bit on the map which looks like Al-Andulus is just the Umayyad Iberian possessions.

Also, I don't think so with Oman. Omani rulership never extended that far north, and encompassed southern Persia, inner Oman and Hadraumaht, plus its African holdings. Askum, similarly wasn't confined to just Somaliland, I think that little bit of Yemen is actually part of the Sassanid map.

You missed around 3.

Sri Lanka was confirmed a long time ago and is coming veeery soon. I even posted their color scheme it in the colors thread from TPangolin.

Interesting, are those all right then?

Because I'd love to help think of uniques for basically any of them, if you ever need help?

EDIT: I assume we're not counting Ceylon, Laos and the Yuan, who have already been announced. So for the other three I think I can see:

-Bukhara/Khiva?
-Bulgarian Empire?
-Modern Turkey?

But I can also see the Ottomans, an Indian empire I'm unsure of (Kushans?) and what I think might be Adal in Somaliland, in there, so, very confused right now.
