Light In The East: Civs Of The Orient(And Beyond)

It's already determined. Not going to change.

So, I'm bumping this slightly... with an idea! =]

---

Bahmani Sultanate (Ala-ud-Din Bahman Shah)
Start Bias: Grassland
Capital: :c5capital: Bidar
UA: Takht-e-Firoza
All yields of Bonus, Strategic, and Luxury Resources within workable range of the :c5capital: Capital are increased by +1. Cities gain +5% :c5production: Military Unit Production for each different Luxury Resource worked.
UU: Shaturnal (replaces Cannon)
Available earlier than the Cannon it replaces (at Gunpowder rather than Chemistry), the Shaturnal is also rather weaker (17 :c5rangedstrength: Ranged Combat Strength vs. 20) and requires Horses. However, it is also vastly more manoeuvrable, with a base :c5moves: Movement of 3 and an additional +1 Movement promotion, retained upon upgrading. It also starts with the unique promotion "Goan Reconquest", which grants a +33% :c5strength: Combat Bonus against Land Units. Upgrades to Artillery as normal.
UB: Gawani Madrasa (replaces Library)
+1 :c5science: Science and +2% :c5production: Land Unit Production for every 2 :c5citizen: Citizens in the City. Additionally, units trained in a City with a Gawani Madrasa cost 5% less to upgrade for each different Luxury Resource within workable range of the City in which it is built.

So, this is obviously based around midgame war, with a highly mobile version of the Cannon that excels at land warfare. The Bahmanis were good at that, kicking lumps out of Vijayanagar and being among the first to adopt heavy cavalry and artillery in medieval India, which I've tried to convey through the Unique Unit. They were a fighty bunch, them. I've given them a focus on Luxury Resources because of the splendour reported in The Journey Beyond Three Seas, a famous travel book by Afanasy Nikitin. He was a Russian who travelled extensively in India, mostly through the then-magnificent Bahmani Sultanate. Hopefully this is of interest and/or use to y'all. =]

A cool design scape! I would also like to mention that we also have Vijayanagara and the predecessor of the Bahmanis planned. Though I myself am interested in the Bahmanis because of their focus on opulence as well as the construction of Gol Gumbaz.

So how famous was The Bahmani Sultanate, did the Sciences grow under The Sultanate.
Were they enlighten rulers?

Tell me more.

Kerrigan, Wikipedia:

1. Will give you the answers.
2. Give you more knowledge.
3. Improve your English.
4. This site= awesome. Don't listen to teachers telling you that its false, its true 90% of the time.

So you'll search for it in wikipedia, and let The emperor of the en-ligjtened dynasty of the east do his job.:)

You may indeed. I can't guarantee it'll be worth bothering with, since I believe you offered this exact same overly-long playlist to whoever it was that was doing the Ilkhanate, but feel free to offer it. =]

Well, I think you should do a little more research to differentiate about Ilkhanate and Yuan and Attila and... did I saw World War Z? Oh dear... Try to research about Bahmanis too. CFC is not Google or Wikipedia

When one want to contribute, he/she should try to think what the music was suit for it and pick just a few from it (2 to 5).

BTW, I would cut 1 - 4 off because it is irrelevant. 5, 7, 9 because instead it sound Mongol before become Japanese, fitting for the game it come from. 9 sound like "random menacing tune" 11 sound too tribal for Yuan. I didn't listen 12 - 15 due to shortened broken link (actually 7 - 10th link also broken) I would cut 16 because Civ5 diplo music shouldn't use drum set that much. 17 because Yuan is in China, not desert, (and they didn't desertify China when they ruled it) 18 because having THAT drunken lyric would hardly went in line of most music.

The best one in your suggestion IMO would be 8 for war theme (broken link). But I recommend you to keep looking and handpick just a few first when you want to share it here.

If we were to hypothetically do Akkad as a civ, what would you guys think of this plan:

UA: (Epic of the Battle): Workers generate Great General points by completing Improvements.

I feel this should be more war-orientated, given that Akkad was the first empire.
Onager Wagon(Chariot Archer): Reduces combat strength of nearby non-mounted enemy units.
Lapattu(Spearmen): Heals nearby units and has extra movement next to rivers. No movement penalty when crossing rivers.

So what do you guys think could be changed?
