I don't know if this has been posted yet, but here is a list of the most used cliches in the RPG genre. As someone who has played the Final Fantasy series since its inception, it is hilarious...

I've read those before, and in fact, there's several longer lists out there.

Here's one --

Before FF6, bathrooms in RPGs were a rarity. Must've been before the invention of Sanitation. (that's with a Civ3 joke tossed in)
