The St. Mary's Church, the second largest cathedral in Nottingham, and the largest one of the Church of England, was ablaze with excitement on March 12th, 2150 AD. King Edward IX the year before, leaving the crown to his daughter, Princess Victoria, who is only 27. Her radical views on a unified "Albion" has some doves wondering if the 100 Year Peace between the splintered British states would end in a second, bloody war. She also denounced the persecution of Protestants down south, and "unlawful" occupation down south in general.
Still, with these complaints, the coronation, the second to happen here instead of Westminster Abby, commenced. The exiled Archbishop of Canterbury gave the oath, and the smuggled Crown of St. Edward was put onto her head. Princess Victoria has now became Queen Victoria II.
