LK73 - AWE, Pangea, Civ = Random*

Doh, sorry for missing that :( That's what I get for playing while sick.. Atleast it's not a critical location, and this puts it in 3 from New Tlateloco.

You'll either have to move or postpone grey spot though, as marsh needs to be cleared before you can settle.

I already placed those two cities on my turn based on the old dot map. You are looking at the 950 AD map I think.

Yes, you are right that was based on 950AD. We have some overcrowded cities on the map now. :(

This game has been rough to cooridnate city planning on. The good news it doesn't matter this game as it is a wrap. However, the odds of the next AWE being this easy are low. The next one will up the difficulty a little.

:bump:

This is now at 48 hours. I know Meldor is working on games, as LK75 was completed last night. I hope to see results on this one tonight.

I would be shocked if this isn't Meldor's last turn. 2 dead civs, and Spain has just one city left.

1050 AD (0)
Not much to change.
(I) The Mayans try to send out a settler. Lots of movement, no atacks. India finishes Bach's.

1060 AD (1)
We kill 3 spears and raze Calakmul. It gives us 368g, a Treb and 3 workers. Kill escorts to grab a Mayan and Indian settler. Move some troops to try and take the last Spanish city.
(I) We get ToG and enter the next age. We go for steam. Mayans finish Shakespeare's.

1070 AD (2)
Kill some elephants and some Longbows. Advance on cities. Clean the batb camp and kill 2 of the horses, 20 more to go. Move some workers that could be in danger.
(I)Not much.

1080 AD (3)
A pike and spear die and we raze Zaragoza. We don't get any money but we get two slaves and eliminate the Spanish. We then take out a few more elephants and get a leader. We have another cav army. Now I need enough vet units to fill it.
(I)Another Indian settler appears. We lose some workers to a camp that just appeared. 12 horses kill themselves on a musket.

1090 AD (4)
We kill some spears and get 453g for razing Quirigua. We gain a treb and 5 workers. When then kill some more spears to raze Chichen Itza and Cop's. We get 472g and 7 workers.
(I)Yet another settler.

1100 AD (5)
Kill elephant, pike and settler. Move to attack next town.
(I)We get a leader on defense as an elephant tries to kill our elite Cav on a mountain. Will it live? Nope, a longbow retreats the cav and the leader dies.

1110 AD (6)
Some movement and prep. Kill stray units.
(I)5 elephants move up.

1120 AD (7)
We raze Lazapa and get 585g and 5 workers.
(I)Nada.

1130 AD (8)
Lagartero is razed for 659g, a treb and 5 more workers. I sink an Indian galley. Our armies continue theri relentless march down the pennisula. Science is running at 100%, -75gpt and yet we are up to 2174g.
(I)Troops but no attacks.

1140 AD (9)
Copan has rifles. With only 1 movement left on our Cav army when it gets there, we can only kill one of them.
(I)Nothing to report.

1150 AD (10)
We raze Bonampak and gain 778g, but only 3 more workers. I take our two rifles in Copan and two spears in Tikal, but more support is needed to raze those cities. Those are the last 2 Mayan cities. Steam is due this turn.

Pre: Wake all choppers to build rr teams.

1160AD: Tikal taken. Great leader gained. Hurry army. Double check, but - we have no coal

1170AD: Copan taken - Maya are out. Coal connected via colony. Start rr.

1180AD: Rush army and cavalries.

1190AD: Move and Rail.

1200AD: Delhi and Bombay razed - 7 cities left.

1210AD: Madras, Bangalore, Karachi razed - 4 cities left.

1220AD: Gems connected via colony. Lahore, Jaipur and Calcutta razed. Sink a galley (settler?) - 1 city left.

1230AD: Kolhapur razed - India destroyed.

I was a honor to play with you all!

Well I am in a bit of shock. I knew it didn't have much time left, I still figured I had one last turn.

If you had predicted AWE victory in 1230AD I never would have believe it. Hopefully the next one will be harder.

FYI - I did start the next AWE a bit more difficult. Check out LK76

I found the game replay screen below interesting. How often to you see the history of the world boxes pop up with just one civ?
