London Calling!

Most of the floor of Westminster is tombstones.
They are everywhere and there is no avoiding them. To get a less trod upon location you need to be held in higher esteem.

Elizabeth R.

She looks a lot of like her avatar in Civ 4 !

She was one of my Chinese companions on the trip. When i was in China last year, she translated for me in business meetings and then helped me plan my extended stay. She'l likely show up as more than shoes in some following pictures.

I really liked the early portraits of Elizabeth I

Have You ever played Civ 4 Realism Invictus mod ? I think they've used the third one as her "leaderhead" in that game mod ;) Lizzy is one of my favourite Civ 4 rulers. You know I'm from Europe and never been to England yet, maybe it't time to change that and see all the marvels You've seen ;)

edit: her famous quote : "I might have the heart of a lady but I have a stomach of a king !"

I think it was - I probably got that wrong.

No to the Civ 4 question. The National Portrait Gallery was pretty amazing; I took a lot of pictures there.

Old Pub.JPG

The Albert Pub. During the Great London fire everything was burning. To save the pub the owner offered free beer for life to any fireman who help save the building. Needless to say, the building was was saved while all around went up in flames. Or so the story goes.

The Kensington neighborhood is a pretty posh place. White seems to be the dominant color theme for many homes. Here is number 9.
