My London plans are shaping up and I will be there Oct 14-22 (I arrive the 13th and leave the 23rd). If there are any of you who live there and want to get together for a visit, let me know.
I have some stuff planned and am meeting friends from China so i will coordinate with them.
I had ten great days in London. Weather was mixed showers, clouds, and sun. Nothing kept us from being outside. We spent most of our time doing all the touristy stuff and there is a quite a lot of that.I loved all of it. Every Brit I met or talked with was exceptionally nice and helpful as we struggled with their backward ways of doing things.
Among the places we saw: Westminster, the Tower, Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace (outside), Hampton Court, Eton, Kennsington Palace, The Shard, St. Paul's, White Hall, the Queen's Swans, Greenwich, the Cutty Sark, Golden Hind, Windsor, British Museum, National Gallery, etc.
Our Air BNB London. We had a second floor, 2 BR apt on a quiet street. Mostly just slept there. The Oval underground station was close and a short subway ride across the Thames to central London.

all were interesting in their own way, but Hampton court probably comes out as tops if I had to choose. I'll post some pics of my visit and some notes on it.Out of all those places which did you enjoy the most?
