Should Civ 6 get its own Community Balance Patch?

Ha. It should get a Community Recoding Patch.

But forget it. The best modders have abandoned the idea of working on Civ 6. I don't think even an (improbable) dll release will save this white elephant.

I answered yes for MP... And there is already the better balance used for MP... So yes and it already exists?

For SP I like that there's enough out there that people can pick and choose. After all everyone has their own opinion on what civs need rebalancing so a pick and mix approach is nice.

I'd like to see a rebalance of ship barbarians though... The current setup is harsher than before for coastal civs. On archipelago maps the number of barbarian galleys can make expansion brutal.

Untill the DLL is released, I'm not sure it's worth the effort. There are simply too many even simple things that can't be added to the game. The City Lights project is an excellent example of this. I think City Lights is an absolutely brilliant and awe-inspiring venture, yet at the same time, I can't help but think how much better that project would be with such a simple addition as a code to lock a district to require adjacency to city center - yet that is not currently possible. I know it's a small detail, but it's an example of how limited code access locks the modders into using awkward and often somewhat unsatisfactory work-around solutions - in the mentioned case, using the aqueduct placement restrictions, which not only forces the desired city-center adjacency but also an unwanted fresh water/mountain adjacency.

I've a feeling that Civ6 only goes downhill from here. Can't really complain as I got at least 1000 hours out of it.
