Looks like Civ 6 is done: Kevin called April "final game update"

I just lost my last game vs AI. I played as peaceful Catherine on Pangaea standard map normal speed on King.
I was ahead in tourism in Japan (we are neck and neck), Hojo was on the other edge of the map and suddenly he switched from culture to science. I was defeated by Science victory and he has 7 light years speed per turn at the end of the game.

Sigh. It pays if I really do not war with other civs.

The Civ 6 AI can win a science, culture or diplo victory. It can't win a domination victory or a religious one.

It definitely can win a religious one. I've been surprised.

Yeah, I've had that happen when I wasn't paying attention. They can really only win a religious victory on pangea though in my experience.

I've seen potential Domination Victories from AIs. Again, I think Pangaea would go a long way to making that realistic, but I've definitely seen AIs snowball, and once I was the last civ standing. So I've never seen them actually score one, but the potential has definitely been there. RV is also one I've definitely seen be a threat. I've lost to a CV and DipV has come close. The only one I haven't fully seen 8s Science - they've gotten to moon landing and never further.

There's a good reason why I never take the standard continents map script, and that's because I always play huge maps, and almost everytime I've encountered a runaway civ has been because one civ took control of the other continent, and most times I COULD, but I just don't WANT to have to take a huge invasion force all the way across the huge map to stop that civ from winning. Other than this, and very very occasional bad starts, I've rarely seen an AI CIV compete seriously to win.

This being said, I'm sure that the experience is very different when playing smaller maps.

Not really unfortunately

To be fair, it feels weird it is there only temporarily, the anthology edition, only from the 10th to 24th June
https://civilization.com/news/entries/civilization-vi-anthology-available-june-10-on-windows-pc/
It seems like it will only be at a reduced price during those dates, not that the Civ VI anthology edition will only be available at those dates.

BUt AckShuaALlY... Lol. Anyway, there will still be some hopeful. Maybe a little bit of me is hopeful this isn't the end, but I guess I'm taking the cynical route today.
I guess if you see that it officially isn't called "Civ 6: The Complete Edition", then sure it's open to interpretation if this is it. :mischief:

the complete experience... of the season? :D

Kevin approved that...
