Hello!

I´m using the patch 1.22 and conquest. I think that there is a patch for civIII as well called 1.29? I downloaded both of them here on civfanatics.

Download the mod and put it into conquest/scenarios including the biq-file

When you play, choose civ-content.

I´m sure others could give you a more detailed explanation but I hope this helps you a bit.
 
Ok I did get it to work, tried playing as the rangers of the north/hobbits whatever. Pretty cool tbh :)
Except that I don't like how boromir/legolas/gimli/aragorn don't even go with the hobbits and gandy to destroy the ring. Maybe afaction titled "Fellowship"? and it's only city Rivendell perhaps? Or give it all the cities of the hobbits? dunno. But that'd be cool.
Also I miss a gondorian soldier unit. And maybe KNights of Dol Amroth? :) Lotta great ideas here mate, if you're still checking this thread please make some adjustments!

If you want to control the ringbearer and Gondor at the same time i suggest you play the scenario in multiplayer mode and choose hotseat. Play both Gondor and Rangers of the north faction. I think the undead army is to numerous though and the ballistas in Minas Tirith are too many and too strong.
I usually sit with the ring at a safe spot and wait for the Mordor hordes to advance on Minas Tirith. Then i bombard them back to stoneage and kill them with the undead units.

Make sure you remove the mithril that is connected by mistake in northwestern Rhuadaur. You should only gain access to mithril after you have defeated the balrog.......
 
I've played this a couple times & I think its great. I especially like the map, but I've got two suggestions: Make the river Anduin an actual waterway so boats could sail it & it wouldn't be so easy to cross, and make Caradhras a little more difficult to get through.
 
hey guys i am very sorrow i havent been keeping up with the mod, had a lot of things to deal with, but i am definetely planning on releasing the revised edition very soon. I am working from the ground up. Be a little more patient... It will definetly be worth the wait. It should be out very very soon...
I am basically redoing the whole mod from the ground up and so far it is even blowing me away of how good the new pacth is going to be when i am testing it out and adding in new graphics and gameplay tweaks. Dont worry the civilopedia is fixed, you can know play with all of the Hero units, and you can play as Gondor and Rohan at the same time with controlling Fellowship. Terrain looks way better in appearance and i am changing many leaderheads and unit animations. The civilopedia does say when units spawn and there are going to be two version: Single Player and Mulitplayer. I am going to add in the shire as its own civilization, but dont worry, frodo, sam, and all the rest are still underneath your control. Single player mode is going to be to die for espicially if you play the game with the Lord of the Rings soundtracks. Some of you guys may not like in single player only being able to play as one faction, Race of Men, but trust me, the game is going to be five time better if it is done that way. Mulitiplayer will be similar to single player but you can be all factions and the Hero units will more likely be broaken up into two factions so you and your buddy can both play with Hero characters. All hero characters will upgrade at least once and Most main characters will have their own animations... This patch will come out very soon. To see some major tweaks that I have done already see first post and look at the screen shots. Be patient, it is coming!!!!!

I cann't really say exactly when it is going to come out, but let just say that i am on the last stages of finishing it.
If you guys want to help, would one of you make a Ring of Power animation for me, it would just need to be one flick. But it isnt such a big deal if i don't have it in the mod because i have already got someother things in mind but yeah that animation would be most helpful if someone could just make one.

I havent seen the new mod yet but I played the old and I liked it.

Shelobs cave should be lair not liar

In the old mod the dwarves had gold colonies in Grey mountians but no units to defend it. I also do not know if the gold resources actually mattered.
Maybe you should look into this?
Dol Guldur also had food problems in the old mod...
 
screenies look good. and honestly, i want to see what you have put together before i throw out any new ideas that might mess with the performance of v.1.0.

(OT-- so i see you like RFRE. you know the tech times that replace a first era in the tech tree? that, as well as the system which makes it work, was my idea. as well as lots of other stuff in there.)

What do you mean by OT and RFRE King Coltrane?
