Hm...

Well, i give it a mark of close to 9/10. It still let me down cause up to 15 min before the end i expected a more concrete explanation (utterly psychological), which although in my view is still very much alluded to in the ending words of the film, was not done as well as i hoped it would be.

It still is a very good horror film, which mostly expands like a computer adventure game.

"I am the Inevitable End of All Things".

Does that owl peñata thing make a significant appearance? Reminds me of the Mothman.

Some more notes, without giving any spoilers...:

-I think the movie is close to later Lynch films (eg Inland Empire), but it has a very low budget (first film of this Scottish director) and less convoluted plot.

-That said, it still leaves an open ending, which i disliked due to the degree of it left open. As noted it mostly seems (to me) to finally allude to a clearly psychological explanation, but then again the scenes in the end do not make it as clear as the narration finishing things off.

-The camera quality can get annoying, moreso at first it did for me (clearly a cheaper camera/editing than holywood main films). The actors are very very few. At first i thought the material might have been meant originally as 'film sequences' for a horror computer game.

Overall i liked the movie a lot, and i hope the director will make even better stuff now that he has some money/acceptance/couple of awards
