Craftsmanship is done, I switch back to Archery, hoping for the boost to come soon.
If I remember correctly, I decided against the chop for a war cart and built a quarry instead.

Turn 36, I have now 3 war carts, 1 archer and the warrior.

And yes, here come the barbs! Hahahahaha

Is this the effect of the AI+ Mod that gives me more and bigger 'armies' hunting me down?
I have definitely seen more massive AI attacks with this Mod, so I kept it. More challenges!

The War Carts are not slicing through the Warriors as I was used to. And then I remember, why.
Well, we are on Immortal, bro, life is tougher here :/

Either way, my Slinger finally gets the kill in and I get my boost!

This could get very, very unpleasant...

I am trying to stay strong and only go for boosted research, in this case BW.

This is great for building up some experience and get as many tribal-village bonuses from the war carts as possible.

BW reveals two iron sources right in the middle between us and the US.
I cannot leave them to Teddy, gotta get moving!

Turn 45, and I havent built anything else other than a Slinger and War Carts!
Should I switch now? Spend the money I gained from the outpost+tribal village bonus on additional forces?

Oh, this is GOOD! I will need Mercenaries pretty soon to be able to pay for all the upcoming upgrades.

I spend the money on an Archer and upgrade my Slinger.

Here's a nice overview that comes with the 2nd Mod (Unit Report Screen).
This definitely helps with the troop management.

Is this army big enough to go after Teddy?

These 'ducks in a row' here seem to be marching right for Elisabeth!
Hah, how wonderful would that be?!

The warriors really are marching towards London!

I have three options now:
1) Go to war with Teddy and attack his puny warrior ducklings
2) Go to war w/ Teddy and attack Philly, but have his warriors come back for me
3) Wait a bit and hope that Teddy goes to war with England

I really, really cannot let that (unguarded!) Settler start another city.
At the same time I don't want the warrior army (and some other unseen units) come back for me either.

I decide to block the Settler from a nice spot, two lines deep, so he cannot get through.

Really hoping that the anglo-american war starts soon.

Does that mean his troops are coming back? Will he target me instead, or keep going towards London?

While I play hide and seek with the Settler, the war announcement is just not coming :/
And I am falling behind in Science. Oh boy, this is not looking all too well.

OK, whatever is happening between London and Washington, I cannot wait any longer!

You guessed it, the Settler was the first collateral damage

How many units does the US have??
At least 6 went west towards London, and here come another 2 Warriors, 1 Archer and 1 Chariot!
And the Chariot is NASTY! The War Cart and the Archer are not enough to overtake him, and I have to face my first unit loss

Should I have scouted his abilities more?
Would've been hard, while I was holding off the Settler at the same time.

The first battle is fought, Teddy lost two Warriors and an Archer. The Chariot fled to the east, deeply wounded.
My guys are regrouping and licking their wounds.

It feels like time is running away from me.

Anglo-american friendship and Philly plopped an Ancient Wall in my face!
My spirit is a little bit damaged. How can I still survive this??

Hm, if and when the opposing civ offers you money to stop the war, doesn't that mean they feel really threatened?
I think we should go for it and strike the metal while it's hot!
