Mac Version Requires CD?

Hi there,

Just switching over from the PC on CIV4 complete where I did not need to keep a CD for copyright checks. I read a few posts that said once CIV4 was fully patched that it should not be asking for CD anymore. My version was purchased on CD not downloaded. Am I missing something?

Sorry, all the Mac Civ4 releases by Aspyr that are distributed on DVD require the DVD in order to launch the game.

If you bought an electronic download, then the online store should do the copy protection without the need for a physical DVD.
